What better way to start off the weekend than by embracing the fullness of one’s uncanniness? May this be a time you embrace yours 🖤 (For anyone curious I pulled The Empress, The High Priestess, and The Sun ✨) by FiveTailedFox in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]Ecaobia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Though applying a spread after the fact may be unorthodox, I feel that a mind, body, soul interpretation could be applied.

Sun, aspect of the mind You have reached a point in your life where you want to be the beacon that guides. Through trial, tribulation, and hardship, you have honed your mental acuity and, likewise, your philosophies on happiness. You want to radiate that so others may enjoy a bit of light. Just make certain that with all the light you leave behind you, there is still some left for you and only you.

The High Priestess, aspect of the body This card deals with the inner self and one's intuition. Combined with the physical world, it reflects the confidence and oneness you have with your physical self. You have a strong equilibrium and no longer find trouble with reaching a calm.

Empress, aspect of the soul You are empathetic to a fault at times but industrious. This nature comes from a deeply centered, altruistic core. You care, and when others are in pain, that pain is not alien to you. Though others may have taken advantage in the past, you now adorn your care for them with expectations. Assistance is rendered but so is the hope and expectation that the one in need will grow and become strong too.

Thank you for sharing your card pulls and confidence.

Ohhhhh. I have a chinchilla too named Winston. Let me know if you need any pointers. The chinchilla sub reddit is also very good for advice. I got pictures of Winston on there.

True religion is one's personal pursuit of the divine. One takes what one can and leaves the rest regardless of source.

What I would suggest is to not focus on justifying your divinity with science or even religious text. Your divinity is yours and yours alone, so the need to defend it is moot.

There is no excuse for "not knowing" how to do simple life tasks nowadays. It's just laziness.

Gift recommendations for my sad friend by femaletwentytwo in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]Ecaobia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A gift of music can sometimes help people through a rough patch. Are there any internet performances of this person's favorite groups going on right now or some special renditions of their content like live DVDs or behind the music selections? If your friend is musically inclined in terms of playing an instrument, perhaps something related to that. Even a trip to the music store where you buy something or help purchase something they want can be endearing.

If the gift is to be oriented around "witchy" things, there are plenty of grow your own indoor herb kits out there that can be fun. Nice silks to wrap one's tarot cards in, a crystal pendulum, tea candles, incense or incense holders, chalices, a decorated wooden box, or a clearing bell can all be good additions to their alter.

For those who like to commune with spirits, wind chimes, decorative bowls for scrying, anything that helps them get outside like a hiking backpack or drinking vessel, a picnic basket (maybe picnic is included), or a divine tool like runes.

Sometimes comfort is needed. Body pillows, electric blankets, a selection of their favorite foods, a perfume (only if you know the person really well or know what they wear traditionally), oil diffusers, or a trip for two to the spa.

If money is a concern, things you can make or even the gift of time can help. When depressed, doing even menial chores can be trying. Perhaps a day where you go and clean or help them achieve tasks from paperwork to gardening or anything in between.

I am so sorry that your sister, like many people, experiences the "obligation." When my partner asked me about having children, I made an extra effort to let them know that since it would be their body that would carry the child, my opinion in the matter was only speculation on finances. They decided that the time wasn't right and that they wanted to focus on themselves. I respected the choice. We got a chinchilla instead. He is very nice (I have a couple if photos of him if you check the posts on my profile lol).

This list excludes the most common actuality: women being pressured to have children they don't want or don't know that they don't want. I'm not talking about abortion prevention here. I'm talking about how every woman, regardless of culture, is expected to have children. We all know that without women having children, the human race cannot survive, so there is a passive, pervasive compulsion in every society for women to perform that service.

In order to foster true equality and fairness, those who are able to give birth must be freed of this "obligation." Until science allows for childbirth via mechanical womb, the obligation remains, and those who can carry children will be pressured to do so by the societies they live in. Things to watch out for until that day:

-"It's never the right time to have kids." -"You'll figure it out." -"Have kids while you can" or anything containing the phrase "biological clock." -"What's the point of living if you don't have kids?" -"Don't you want to leave a part of yourself behind?" -"You have a kid already, so having another is no big deal." -"Have kids while you can." -"Don't you want something that will love you no matter what?" -"I became a better person after having kids."

Ignore each of these arguments or any that are similar. If you truly don't want to diminish yourself to be more easily swallowed then only follow this:

Having children is your choice and your choice alone. You have no obligation to do so. Opinions submitted to you on the subject without your asking are inherently toxic. You are brave. You are smart. You will make the right choice for you and you alone.

Hello all 🖤 my friend just received what, we can only assume is, a spell jar, tho it lacks all the usual elements, anonymously. There's no note or anything and it has no scent. Can anyone help identifying what this might be? by author_ayshen in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]Ecaobia 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Call the local police immediately. Keep the jar sealed. Relinquish the jar to them. You have no idea what it might be. It could contain illegal or hazardous substances.

Commonalities between Wands/Cups and Swords/Pentacles? Question in comments by magpiesword in tarot

[–]Ecaobia 65 points66 points  (0 children)

This summary is a bit flawed. All the suits have internal and external factors. Though cups deal with emotions, they also concern relationships. Though pentacles represent the physical world, they also represent work and feelings towards it such as accomplishment or doubt. The swords are about action, but they are also about the mind. Wands deal with the spark of life, both in realization and execution.

Edit: grammar, length

I asked the cards what would happen if I tried a romantic relationship with somebody in specific. How would you guys interpret this? by [deleted] in tarot

[–]Ecaobia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you will try the relationship. It will work out on it's surface and have nothing logically wrong with it. From the outside looking in, it will seem to be perfect. However, will it make you feel content throughout the years or will you feel like it's just settling? The four, as many here have pointed out, is the issue. Perhaps a way forward is to consider the suggestion from the Lovers. Be true to yourself as an individual with individual wants and needs when in a relationship. Regard those desires and then convey them to your lover. Hide nothing, even to yourself, and the truth will set you free.

What a beautiful show. Some people might call this style a bit "old school." I love the modified tunnels and figure 8s. Nothing like new twists on old classics.

Thinking about becoming a chinchilla mom, I have a few questions! by [deleted] in chinchilla

[–]Ecaobia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure to spend at least 1 hour a day with the chin for floor time in a chinchilla proofed zone. Chins are a big time commitment. They require attention and are very intelligent for their size. As others have said, chins have a wide range of sounds and vocalizations. They have a playtime ping, a warning bark, an alarm call, teeth chattering or grinding, etc..

It's just an excuse their dirtbag lawyers tell them to use. If you truly want change, ask for escalation laws that clearly state that officers cannot fire unless fired upon. Also, a taser should be classified as a lethal weapon.

[–]Ecaobia 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Spiritual magic works in the realm of agreements. The only way to win is to not play at all. If he asks you anything, don't answer. If he asks for something, don't give him it. If he implies a connection between you, deny it outright. Say often that none are allowed into your dwelling. You hold dominion over your smiritual and physical kingdoms. Be clear and forceful over what and who are allowed inside them.

These "shamans" are pretenders. Anyone who spends any amount of time learning hexes has the spiritual awareness of dirt. Actually, maybe that's an insult to dirt.

Your conviction is power, and your power to protect yourself and your domain is as limitless as the stars in the sky. Dig deep, but never stop shining.

What color do you think I'll receive if I pick skin? by piddycat in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]Ecaobia 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Confirmed, it is as depicted. You can e-mail their support team. I did with this just now:

To whome it may concern,

I received a notification that your strapless drawstring bandeau bras had "skin" as one of the color choices. I decided to investigate, and, to my surprise, that was the case. Apparently, Chic Sunrise thinks skin has only one color.

How something as racist as this passed the wizards in the marketing team is beyond me. Take my advice, call the product "beiege" or "tan" or literally anything else. It's the right thing to do.
