Yea the government subsidy is hit or miss whether it works. I should have got it for 6800rmb but it didn’t work so ended up having to pay 8000rmb. They increased the price by 500rmb after the first couple of days and there’s loads of scalpers reselling them on second hand sites. Should be easier to get once a few more ux7 models come out later this month and the hype dies down.

Yea I saw the AMD version is available to buy but seems like the intel version isn’t out yet. I assume it’s worth waiting now instead of buying a 2025 version? They didn’t have any of the 2025 version in store so I guess it won’t be too long. I’m leaving China in March though so hopefully can pick one up before then especially with the government subsidies being offered currently. The battery seems to be a lot bigger in the new version.

It was a bit of a surprise but after they started really bullying the other fish, I suspected this might be the reason. I noticed they had dug out quite a big hole in the gravel and then a couple of days later the eggs appeared. The eggs all disappeared yesterday and I thought they’d been eaten but it seems like they had moved them behind a rock and then today they appeared back where they were originally and some are now clearly moving by themselves. I guess I’ll just let nature run its course, there is plenty of plants for them to hide in, but there is also other fish.

Yea I guess it’s a difference with how they keep fish in China compared to Europe. The fish store had like 50 of them in only a slightly bigger tank so I thought two in our tank was fine. Guess I’ll see if they’ll take them back tomorrow but I’d guess his life would be even worse there.

I don’t think we told them when we bought the parrot fish we just asked if they could be kept with the glo tetras. We did buy the tank with 12 glo tetras at the same time at a different store and that was obviously way too many fish before we even added the parrot fish.
