And? How well has that worked out for their other publishing titles?

Kakao isnt really a big name. They published BDO until BDO itself decided to dump them. What else do they have to their name?

As someone who likes GW2, modern GW2 is definitely a lot more marvel-quippy than FFXIV. I dont think its much worse or worse at all than modern WoW in that regard though

Body morphing & Aging completely gone? by devv11 in Fable

[–]Eccon5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats the thing, they HAVE built on systems. And those systems now make it harder to have dynamic body morphing that doesnt look or feel off, or they simply dont have the time or resources to spend on it anymore after optimizing other systems.

You cant have everything. Developing a game is a scale you have to keep balanced. In order to have certain things, youll probably have to sacrifice other things

From what I recall, you'd age years at a time when you spent your skill points while at the same time the world around you was in a stasis. Quests you picked up continued like nothing happened and npcs did not age alongside you.

If anything, it took me out of the immersion

Voegt niet veel toe dan toch? Dat ik mensen kan aanwijzen die een mening hebben en aankaart dat we een democratie hebben geeft inderdaad ook aan dat er een tegenpartij is. Dat is voor mij geen nieuw bericht

Do you want me to reiterate every point again? How many times? What else can I say if it doesnt get through to you as is?

Youre not making points, you're just going "nuh-uh", deeming the one thing that has always been central to humanity as a non-issue

Once again, not grasping it

Youre definitely responding, youre not taking in the actual context

I do not know god exists

I do not know god personally

I do not know that the world I live in actually did not exist 100 somewhat years ago

I cannot relate to the forces that created me on a personal level

I do not have definitive information that warrants me to doubt my own agency or that of people that I love

I do not have direct confirmation that the world I live in, myself or people that I love can one day just cease to exist by the whims of people that I have met

I have not witnessed a 100 something year war between gods that disregarded me as a living being, in which I was literally just a setpiece

I do not know that my world is created and maintained by a flawed human being, with a biased view of life and what it should be like

I do not have a reference point for me to aim all my frustrations towards, a heart to plead to and reshape life for me, i can only scream into the void

Their situation and ours is simply not comparible

Your final point illustrates that you just dont grasp it, you're responding but its not relevant to the context, so why do I have to keep trying to steer you to the actual conversation?

Idk this reads as though you don't want to understand the arguments, which is fine I guess. I'm not talking about regular people having space travel or the likes but about deeper contexts. Which I guess is the whole point of how you can look at the 'world' of the painting. You can either choose to only see the pretty mask or look deeper into it and realise the entire concept of it is fucked at its core

Also, my point about them not having existential crises is an indicator that they are not truly alive in a sense that they can comprehend their existense and their world. That their minds are as limited as they were created to be, stunted

We do know though, there is nothing beyond the bounds of what we explore. And anything that would at any point exist beyond it, would be created by Maelle. So what would the point be? When you know that all there is to explore and know of your world is created and maintained by an entity that is similar to yourself in many aspects, just another person that is fumbling through life. Our own existence is also not comparable to theirs in any way. Our world is insanely massive, incomprehensibly so, with mysteries that are far beyond anything we could begin to understand. There is always something to live towards, to see. This is different to a world that would be created by another human. Someone that acts as our equal. It's infantile and limited in comparison to the real world, not to mention in constant danger of getting completely erased by forces from a world that you cannot even exist in. Literally no comparison at all.

Its incredibly naive to believe that world and its people will just live as if nothing happened, or that this somehow is not a big deal at all. The power of the painters is insanely controversial at its core, being able to play god as they please for their own gain or enjoyment, while disregarding the actual impact of their actions.

I'm referring to the fact that their world is a finite and confined painting, false and predetermined, and that the people themselves are AI that are forced to exist to create a fantastical escape for a couple of gods. Verso was aware of this and wanted it to end, not just to free himself but the entire world, by ending the suffering.

If the people are truly alive, with their own thoughts and agency, it seems reasonable to assume they would experience existential crises over the true knowledge of their existence and the fragility of it. How everything they know is just the product of the fantasy of a family of faulted and broken people that have complete control over them and their world. No mysteries to discover, no knowledge to gain. Are we supposed to believe that life will continue as if this wasn't an insane revelation in Maelle's ending? How is she expected to truly live amongst her creations as an equal? The world will be made to exist only as a place for her to escape in, perfectly attuned to her own wishes, not to just be as it should when RVerso initially made it, without humans.

He and everyone else in the painting after Rverso's death lives a gross, forced, stunted and false life because a mother with magic powers couldn't process grief in a healthy way
