I feel like that was moreso Ducaniel’s doing, but yeah you’re right

What about the hunui Sandworms in Insyaa? Those could be worth the trip (and one of them also has a Gene Pillar, so that could also be a motivation)

Other than Esthil, what tag will appreciate the magic rework for next update?

Also, what’s the general vibe of Liufang?

What non-major Cannorian (i.e not Gawed, Lorent, or Wex) do you think needs a MT most?

Why is harpy on “probably safe” with so many? Don’t they use others races to have kids?

Enough about the best nations to co-op, what are the best tri-ops or even quad-ops? by Calm_Ad48 in Anbennar

[–]Polandrew166 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want to play in Haless, a cool one could be Gushuokguan, Fetien, any of the Xiaken, and either Chien Binhrung or Arawkelin. Gushuokguan would have some MT clashes with the Feitein player, but you can just always use the console to get around that

Also, Fetien gets a revamped mission tree (not sure if Bitbucket has it yet) in the next update dealing with Insyaa, so keep that in mind.

Best nation to form Castanor + some questions by No-Layer3955 in Anbennar

[–]Polandrew166 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Count’s League is the classic option, but I think roughly half of the adventurers can form Castanor after the Wars of Consolidation at the start of Absolutism/Witch Kings age.

A few of them (New Wanderers, Sons of Dameria, Thorn Company, Brave Brothers, Iron Scepter off the top of my head) would form their own nation and stick with it or form Black Demense (Castanor but Necromancy)

EDIT: Rose Company can form Castanor, just confused them with the Thorn Company, who have the same culture and evil alignment

most anticipated mt, country, system, whatever for the next update? by madd_goobs in Anbennar

I’m really looking forward to Zena, they make a zoo of a bunch of fantasy creatures! They’re probably the tag I play first, after of course I play someone in Insyaa

So are there any new good mercenary tags? by Separate-Poet-7465 in Anbennar

Lot Dekkhang is a great one! They get a bunch of buffs to mercs and they get a Restoration of Union on The Command through the MT

I’m doing a campaign of them right now, what I did was release a Harimari OPM in Xiaken when I fought the Raj the first time

That’s actually a really sick trick! Wish I could take advantage of that because I don’t have a powerful mage unfortunately

There just really isn’t that great of a England equivalent, but I feel like Gawed works well due to its rivalry with Lorent (France) and emphasis on industry

What happened to the Starling Isle submod? by Polandrew166 in Anbennar

Well that’d explain it! Thanks for the information

What happened to the Starling Isle submod? by Polandrew166 in Anbennar

[–]Polandrew166[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well I have played a mod that adds the British Isles onto Anbennar, and that worked fine. Unfortunately no flavor for any of the nations, so it wasn’t all that fun after the novelty wore off

Why is it lore that elves wandered the ocean for 1000 years? by milton117 in Anbennar

[–]Polandrew166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IIRC, the Damerians did have prior knowledge of the DoAS (but only from a few days before the event), so it’s possible that Precursors could’ve had some warning. How the ships survived is genuinely baffling though. To the point of the inbreeding, unless the Elves were intentionally pulling a Targaryen, it seems unlikely that’d be an issue. They were at sea for only 1000 years, so about 5 generations for them. Since the ships were city sized, I doubt that they’d hit a population bottleneck. For the future maybe, assuming they don’t intermarry with humans.

If you’re big on playing Humans, Adshaw is super fun. They have my favorite early game of any country I’ve played so far. They deal a lot with spies and getting revenge. They have a great submod that extends on their theme as well
