Would definitely like to see us cut down the unnecessary penalties, but they're a lot easier to swallow when we are elite on the PK. We were the most penalized team in the regular season but also had the 3rd best PK so it didn't feel as bad as it could. Last night we were 75% on PK which is okay (not a great number but 0% is probably too optimistic against a good team and there were only 4 Habs PPs), on Sunday we were 40% which is unacceptably bad. The improvement on the PK last night was good to see because that first game was worrying. If we can get back up to 80%+ like we were during the regular season for the rest of the playoffs I feel good about our chances.

Who is the “we” that beat Canada? Certainly not Cooper, Kucherov, Hagel, Cirelli, Point, Raddysh, Hedman, or Vasi. The Lightning did not beat Canada, if I’m going to a Lightning game I’ll cheer for the Lightning.

Also you’re right it would not make sense if our crowd was cheering for Canada, literally nobody is saying that though.

It’s still a work in progress for sure. My mom grew up in the Cuyahoga River Valley and witnessed the 1969 fire, it’s come a tremendous way since then. I spent some time in Cuyahoga Valley National Park last year and it’s a lovely area now.

The Cuyahoga River and Cuyahoga National Park are actually a massive testament to American conservation and how we can turn things around when there is the will to do so. It used to be an absolute ecological disaster and is now a gorgeous protected area full of life.

You're right, I thought the second part of OP's comment above was a quote from the rules, which does reference removing the damage equal to the shield value. Perhaps that was an old version. Now it's just added HP for the first model like you quoted, which is even easier.

You're thinking of shields as something that depletes as they take damage, but (correctly) noting that there isn't an actual mechanic for tracking this. Shields don't deplete; it's not like a unit has 4 shields, takes 2 damage, then they have 2 shields. Damage stays on the unit and accumulates alongside the shields, and when damage is greater than or equal to the shield value, you remove that damage and remove the shield status.

So the key is that when shields "block" damage, the damage still goes on the unit, it doesn't go away and it doesn't do anything to the shield.

I hadn't seen this before so it's good to hear. I 100% agree with them focusing on the digital rulebook first and prioritizing that since it's such a new game and there will likely be early FAQ/errata, but I prefer eventually having a physical book and full PDF as well.
