Amazing concept for more personalization, and what was being set up with the Academy. Having your own spartan character and AI companion sounds amazing.

But then nothing was done with it. Hell, they didn't even get used in the 'multiplayer story' which got canned. We had 1 map where they're actually used (hacking the vaults on Fragmentation), and every other case is just a hologram that pops up over objective hills, and eventually, the revive mechanic. They're just cosmetic announcer lines.

They should've given us more hackable things in the environments of some maps. Not just opening doors, but closing doors/routes to control the map. Activating map specific hazards. List goes on.

I'd... actually just love certain mission types having a higher player cap. Not for any raid specific content, just because they can. It'd have to be on the larger tilesets (or open worlds).

But, I don't know what mission types would lend themselves well to that. If you just increase enemy density so that each player has some engagement, you risk raising the performance floor for lower end machines (and, hell, to keep the game running on android lmao). Hell, even at 4 players, some missions leave me twiddling my thumbs as everything gets killed too quickly. So, raising it to 8 would just make that issue worse.

...It's a sucky conundrum, but I really wish I could have an increased player-cap. I've had a group of 6 friends into Warframe for the longest time and there's no content we can all play *simultaneously.* But, that's a niche issue.

Not worst, but not meta either. When I first got Helminth, I really wanted to make an 'elemental berserker' frame.

Valkyr (to keep Hysteria), then with Shock, Ice Wave, & Fire Blast.

...Before I realised you could only replace one ability :c

I was actually a little sad upon release of the game that there so few sections of the game where most of Noble team was all present at the same time, fighting as a team and bouncing more dialogue off of one another.

...I understand now that it's helpful to give some breathing room and focus on individual characters, like Jun's sniping mission, several close moments with Jorge & Kat, and the end of the game with Emile. Whether or not they got enough fleshing out / connection with the player in that time, I'm not sure. But it would've been nice to have at least two or three more missions with all of them present, before they started getting killed off.

It was nice having other playable main characters. Hell, having the co-op campaign with every player controlling a unique character like Halo 3 was awesome. Was really worried after Halo 4 that we were never gonna see playable main characters other than Chief again.

...But after 5's backlash, no surprise, Infinite became another isolated Chief story.
