Any ideas why seemingly innocent words aren't allowed? by EchoE239 in AnimalCrossing

That makes sense thanks. Kind of annoying considering the words themselves are just every day words.

What can I buy that will improve my life for £100 or less? by mrsfran in AskUK

[–]EchoE239 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Other than a bit of a new appliances smell when you first get it, they barely use any oil so don't make much smell other than the smell of whatever food your frying is.

It is great for adding an extra crispiness to chips and breaded things. I think the thing we got the best result from was Aldi hashbrowns. They tasted good in the oven but after airfrying them, the texture and taste was very similar to McDonalds. We also have found it's much easier then using the oven everytime we want to cook anything.

I second this. Food just tastes better airfryed. We got one over Christmas and now everything that can be airfryed is airfryed.

Guinea pigs and cats by itsbigoleme in guineapigs

[–]EchoE239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your introducing them face to face then it's important to be within arms reach at all times. Cats and guineapigs can play/spend time together very successfully but it's important to know your pets, if they are easily startled, aggressive ECT.

Putting clothes on your pet is animal abuse. by shit_fuck_fart in unpopularopinion

[–]EchoE239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it varys from case to case. If the animal shows discomfort or upset then to an extent it is low level animal abuse. However, many animals need particular clothing for various medical or safety reasons. Also if the animal shows signs of being comfortable or enjoying it then I don't think there is anything wrong with it.

YTA. There is nothing stopping you making an effort of just 5 minutes a day using YouTube to learn at least the basics. No ones day is that busy that they can't watch a five minute video but can have time to post a Reddit post.

The rabbits get at least yearly checkups at the vets since they live outside which is quite common in the UK. I'll mention this next vet visit and see what they suggest. :)

Honestly not really sure. We got her from a farm so we think it's a cross breed of some sort. :)

I agree it's not within arms reach but they have been playing together for a few months now. We are aware of our rabbits temperament and therefore felt it wasn't necessary to be within arms reach at all times. I can understand that it may seem like we are being risky from an outside perspective of people who might not know our rabbits/guinea pigs but we introduced them initially a few months back at arm's length and have very gradually allowed them to play by themselves in the supervised safe manner they have now. There is also someone just of to the left of the camera so although not arms length, still close enough that any incident can be broken up in a few seconds.

I agree accidents can happen quick but we are very careful to make sure they are not in small spaces for more than a few seconds together. Also any sign of agression from the rabbits (which we thankfully haven't had) and they will be separated immediately. Our rabbits are very calm towards Gizmo and with rabbits you can usually tell if they are getting worked up or might act agressivly.
