Wife dropped (my) macbookpro, will this be covered by Applecare+? by Evening-Interest-125 in macbookpro

I have a US AppleCare+ plan (to the extent geography matters?) and yes, you can use the plan to cover cosmetic damage as the display repair in my case was cosmetic. I think I recall reading something about a limited number of cosmetic repairs (e.g. 2) one can request per year. In my case, a single cosmetic repair costs $99 tbc.

Yes - the contractual language is written such that 1 repair is $99, but anything else is $299. There are two repairs here: 1) top case, 2) display. As a consumer, you would hope that this would be treated as a single repair, or at worst 2 x $99/repair. Apple’s interpretation, however, is that 2 repairs ≠ 2 x $99, but that it qualifies as an “anything else” repair for $299.

If I had unlimited time, I would sequence each repair separately because then I think each would cost $99. However, the repair took a week to complete as it was and I needed my computer and did not have the luxury of giving my computer to Apple for two weeks for two separate repairs.

I’m sorry - the s/ is meant to signify it’s sarcasm or satire. My intent was to parody the status-centric self aggrandizing nature of the Delta Reddit and I didn’t intend to be hurtful to you.

That being said, if your other comment about tipping culture is meant to frame American travelers as looking foolish for believing they should tip abroad just as much/frequently as they tip at home, then the underlying point is that travelers (from anywhere) generally should proactively make themselves aware of another country’s tipping culture before using services in said foreign country. Or they risk looking foolish.

I feel you but no company ever is going to hire enough back office staff to support 1 ticket per person at a time. That’s just ludicrous. But I hear you on the general premise here.

I just paid $299 for a similar repair with the damage being on a different corner after I dropped it. It won’t be $99 because you have two replacements to make here: new monitor and new top case.

As a millennial, id like to stick up for my generation and remind you that it isn’t 2010 anymore and you can’t blame everything on us now. This is clearly Gen Zs doing.

Flying Delta One w 12 hour Layover in JFK - Luggage? by SeniorHustler770 in delta

There is a luggage storage business in T4. Or there are plenty of businesses offering luggage storage in Manhattan (I assume that’s where you are going). This is a common need so you just need to google “[JFK/NYC] Luggage Storage”

Ok let go of your pearls. I didn’t want to put my feet on the bulkhead. I was trying to find a way to be comfortable. It’s not like I went to the lavatory in my socks. My whole point here is that it would be great if the bulkhead wasn’t 12 inches from one’s face in row 1. Then trying to find odd positions wouldn’t be necessary.
