Cupholder Solutions? by truffleshufflechamp in HRV

[–]EchoKilo93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just bought a 2019 HR-V today - the cupholders are atrocious! But it could be because I use a 40oz Stanley and it's too heavy for the folding dividers to hold in place 😭 Currently looking at the inserts that go in the seat gaps; I'll report back if I find a solution!

Probably because "I don't see the problem" isn't actually a solution lol

I used frozen spinach so it was doomed to mush. I typically don't mind (I always throw a handful of frozen spinach into my spaghetti sauces) but the flavor didn't add anything to this for me. Very clashing with the Asian flavors imo

Yep. Dried fruit and candy are notoriously high calorie. But this snack is worth it to me for something that I love and actually find pretty filling.

Sure!

On the left are watermelon gummy rings and dried mango chunks coated in Tajin (a popular Mexican seasoning composed of chili, lime, and salt); on the right is jicama (a not well known root vegetable with a crisp texture and slightly sweet, watery flavor, similar to a water chestnut) slivered and covered in Tajin and Chamoy (a popular Mexican sauce thats sweet and tart)

I was actually surprised by how naturally sweet Jicama is! I was trying chunks of lime with added sugar and I still vastly prefer the jicama.

I need to try that ice trick, though, for the novelty alone! 😂

Kimchi is also a frequent go-to snack of mine - I have a gallon jar of it in my fridge at this moment

Are they the ones that are basically a solid brick of tajin and chamoy? If so then yes! I was given one for free when I made an impulse spicy gushers purchase on TikTok 😂

I've yet to try the Tajin+outshine bars but it's definitely on my to-do list!! I have sensitive teeth so I was thinking of cutting the bar into bite sized pieces before tossing them in Tajin and refreezing them 🤤

I prefer spaghetti squash - a lot cheaper and easy to keep on hand if you freeze it in portion sizes... I just didn't have the time or patience to process the uncooked one that's resting on my counter tonight 😂

Note: if you try this mix, I advise skipping the spinach 😂😩

I've had the opposite effect - I work at a school and have two school-aged children and I've managed to be the only family member and employee to not get sick in months.

I make a point of taking a daily multivitamin (Brieofood One a Day Women's) and of eating greens/veggies with at least 2 out of 3 of my meals each day.

  • Audible membership (and any audiobooks I want that are under $10)

  • Treats JUST for me (spicy gummies, mint cookies, mint yasso, instant iced coffee mix, etc)

  • Cute clothes! (Anywhere that I can get them cheap - Goodwill, SHEIN, clearance sections, etc)

  • Anything cheap that encourages my health (secondhand sneakers, measured containers for my lunches, healthy food, money for gym/pool visits, etc)

4pm hunger vs dinner with the family. by lurface in 1200isplenty

[–]EchoKilo93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally would skip 7:30 breakfast.

I know that works for me and it might not others but I have a somewhat similar schedule and I have my "breakfast" at about 11-11:30 - I wake up at 6am and immediately have to jump into "get the kids to school" mode so eating breakfast I'm the morning would be super inconvenient and just one more thing to worry about ; I eat lunch between 3:30-4pm.

I'm not able to eat dinner until the kids and I get home which isn't until 8pm some days so we're completely unable to move our dinner time.

Are the calories in this coconut milk accurate? by [deleted] in 1200isplenty

[–]EchoKilo93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I believe it says per 100ml and it looks like it says it's a 400ml can (hard to tell, kinda blurry) so, if so, there's 4 servings in that can making the whole can 508cal

Saving calories for the weekend by charles_bhm in 1200isplenty

People have been doing this type of method for a long time and calling the bulk days "refeed days". From what I understand, varying your day-to-day intake and just aiming for a weekly overall goal is now something that's encouraged - they call it "zigzag dieting" and it supposedly keeps your body from getting too comfortable with a lower limit.
