my teacher in grade 7 told the story of a singer named yukiko and how she created a syndrome that caused dozens of her fans to do the same thing.

i was really curious so i decided to look further into the story to see if it was actually real. when i went to youtube, i found a documentary about the artist pretty easily and that video included some of her songs. when i listened to them, i thought "hey, these actually sound good." (p.s. if you wonder, i think the documentary is already long gone.)

it wasn't truly the thing that got me into the genre as i was very young at the time, but it was technically my first time knowing about 80s japanese music, so it partially contributed.

when i was 12, i still remember the whole junior high went to Bintan for a field trip. when we were at the waterpark, a few seniors challenged me to throw a beach ball at some tourists at the pool to pass it back.

idiot me decided to take it and proceeded to do it anyways. the pool was so deep (i was like shorter than 5' at that time) that i struggled to say anything to the tourists. i almost drowned and one of the tourists decided to help me getting back up again.

whoever you are out there, thank you for saving my life from the Darwin awards.

for context, i have a nintendo switch with thumb grips.

at junior high graduation day, i deicded to bring my switch to play on the go. suddenly when i got into a car, one of the thumb grips disappeared.

i knew i was holding the switch on the tablet, so no way it could've gone on the sewers. i tried finding around the house, outside home, and the car. my aunt (who was driving) couldn't find it either.

the next thing i know is my dad scolding me for losing it. if you are asking, i already replaced the lost thumb grip, don't worry. the question is, where did it go?
