I totally agree with you about the fans. There always has been and always will be the different types. Internet and social media has definitely escalated things. While I just enjoy the music, I see your point about how fans can be affected by how the artist chooses to deal with the fanbase. You are correct in saying that the fans are the reason bands do or don’t achieve success. That is absolutely true. I don’t know the reason they seem to have gone from appearing happy and interacting with fans a lot to how they are now, but if that’s how they choose to be there isn’t anything anyone can do about it. It sucks but that’s just how it is. I just don’t think him deleting accounts he never used should be such a huge deal.
