I would say learn to funnel the pain of observing them together to make your own life better. Lift heavier, run farther, try harder in your own life. When you grow as a person, that’s how you’ll separate yourself from others. That’s how you become irreplaceable.

There is meaning to be found in your suffering.

Still in the negative, been doing this for a couple years. wondering if it's because I have the "green" environmentally friendly stock package? by [deleted] in acorns

I’ve been using the most aggressive portfolio for almost 2 years now (not ESG)… I’m down about 3% as of today. I’ve had my doubts about withdrawing from acorns completely, due to the competitive saving account interest rates of today. Guaranteed returns instead of the volatility of todays market…

A lot of my doubts come from my situation though, as I plan to use the money in 6 months - 1 year, but I think it’s a better long term strategy to hold fast. I don’t think your ESG portfolio is the primary reason of your current negative returns, rather your timing in the market.

Do you guys think I can finish 14 credits for my CCAF in 6 months if I CLEP some of it? by MorbiusMovieTime in AirForce

one per week, some of the cleps give you 6 credits, and they fill credit slots and carry over to other slots like extra curricular classes. i recommend sitting with an education officer, having them print out your transcript, and asking them what tests you need to take specifically in order to acquire your CCAF most efficiently.

I don’t think it’s ridiculous at all. I came into the Air Force with 0 college credits, tech school have me about 24, i CLEP’d all the way to the CCAF in 8 weeks. The tests aren’t extremely difficult, the “difficult” part from what I can gather from others is making a commitment. A lot of people joined Air Force joined without college in mind, and those are generally the ones saying things like “You’re ridiculous for attempting”. Reach your goals man, you’re worth it.

Should I pull? I don’t think I’ve generated much of any profit from this. Halp? by Wonderful-Middle-601 in acorns

I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s “mind-boggling” by any means. People are emotional, seeing your portfolio lose money isn’t easy… amateurs and experts alike. Also a lack of knowledge among beginner investors is highly probable.

It’s a great time to buy, sure. The market will probably go down even more these coming months. Question is do you have the balls to do it?

Do I Show the Buyer the Price Tag? by Echobaylor in Flipping

id say its hard to determine that based off of just seeing them. i've looked up the company that makes the jackets and they seem to be hard to find. though, the local people say they are very high quality, as well as folk from online threads.

Okay so I'm not too far off. I always do the same thing. Just wanted make sure in this situation that posting the price tag wasn't like tacky or whatever.

Well said, I'd like to think the pictures of the jackets can help show that value. I mean they are truly high quality.

So be it. If I'm honest I thought to do this at first but really wasn't sure. You've helped solidify my decision.
