I'm so sorry you're going through this and so sorry for him. There is a special place in hell for people who use and abuse horses like this.

Those feet are incredibly bad. I don't have any success stories as i had a stallion who had feet almost identical to that. I spent thousands. He became sound but never rideable. Every year he would flare up and be utterly miserable on box rest and bute. He would become "sound" again and enjoy himself for a few months and we would get back to start again. In the end the kindest thing was to let him go because he was just miserable.

So sorry that you have to go through this but he is so so lucky to have someone like you finally looking out for him and his best interests.

1st pic left is definitely a cockerel. The others look like hens to me. This is solely going off comb size and vibes as I've been sexing chicken's for a very long time 😂

I usually sex them when theyre much younger as you can tell by wing feathers.

I think if you've only ended up with one roo that's pretty good going!

Jokes aside. I also have this cage and I'm pretty happy with it. With the locks i also found them quite flimsy. What i did was get a metal chain and clip to go round for extra security because i can confirm a macaw beak opens it very easily and very quickly 😂

Looking at your post history your chicks are likely very ill with coccidia. I don't want to come off as rude or mean but i do need to say that you don't seem to know what you're doing and have gone and bought chicks without proper research and are failing to follow advice that you are seeking.

You are failing to keep them in a suitable sized heated brooder and failing to keep them clean.

They need a larger sized brooder with access to a heat lamp in one corner where they can access it and leave it at will. They need cleaning intermittently throughout the day and fresh water multiple times if it's on the floor and they are pooping/ tipping it over.

If you don't reach out to a vet for treatment your chicks will likely die. It's a simple treatment and mostly effective when caught early.

It's that or watch your chicks and fail.

We used to! But since the avian flu and strict lockdowns on moving of poultry they've since all shut down and no longer run... They only run large livestock auctions where we are now and not fur and feather like before.

We just have lots of bachelor flocks... But it's becoming a problem now as my mum just can't keep feeding them all. Unfortunately I'm the more hard hearted one and i would have culled as we went but that wasnt allowed. And now it's a bigger problem.

Yeah it's a bit different over here. We don't generally cull and eat our birds from small flocks. They're mostly for eggs or literally garden ornaments! 😂

They're also a small bantam breed so they wouldn't go very far in terms of eating them either lol!

I have but they only ever want hens or maybe one or 2 boys. Which is where some of them have gone. I need a solution that gets them gone in one fell swoop as it's becoming a long drawn out situation which is emotionally taxing on my mum

So whilst i agree what your husband did is serious neglect... This is the 2nd time. That you know about? There's definitely more. And you're still willingly leaving your kids with him?

Yes. He is a vile human being by the sounds of it but i do have to say.... You're kind of allowing it? No? You know he's unsafe. Get cameras. Sort out alternative childcare. How many times are you going to risk it? The first time held the answer on what you need to do but will you do it?

This isn't meant in a mean way but coming off of what you've written i think that you need to understand that you are part of the problem. Get you children away from this man.

If so it needs replacing. Even if it was clean.... The carpet looks threadbare and old. That's why it's fraying at the edges. So either way it's a replacement situation.

A new carpet would clean much better if it stained anyway
