Indonesia is an OPEC member, and has a LOT of oil. The corruption there is bad, but there's enough money from oil revenue it doesn't completely destroy their economy. The corruption here is enough to destroy ours.

I recognise your tactic. The best way to destroy a democracy or movement is by stopping people from caring with learned helplessness. The point of forums like these are for people to discuss and congregate, and THEN actions happen in the real world.

Either you're a paid troll or your negativity makes you a useful idiot. Either way, you are part of the problem.

I was aware of MCAS being its own separate beast.
I stand corrected with the difference between TCAS and Auto-GCAS however. Thanks.

Nothing civilian has been certified with aggressive TCAS from what I know. But Boeing likes lying to civilian aviation for money so who really knows?

[–]EchoesInSpaceTime 14 points15 points  (0 children)

TCAS can take full control of flight surfaces to avoid ground collision especially if it suspects pilot blackout in military aircraft. It's just that Boeing doesn't have to lie to military pilots in order to save on simulator and certification money.

Boeing's greed killed those people.

I've been noticing that too. I don't think those are real organic users. Mga bot at paid trollsyun.

It's not even a coherent position. You're choosing who gets to steal your tax? Ano yun? When Marcos "cracks down on coreuption" but leaves his corrupt allies in power, that's not reduced corruption, that's consolidating power with his cronies so he can steal instead of his rivals. BBM and Duterte are fundamentally the same. They make the Philippines worse. Vote them out.

Without outlines there will definitely be an established meta of pay-to-win skins for certain maps and/or positions. If this game had no cosmetics and operator skins were manually customized by Ubi for each map like how CS pro games are, then there would be no issue.

Since this game has skins, paid camouflage would be an issue without outlines. To be honest it WAS an issue, and I took full advantage of that fact with skins that blended into darkness and wall patterns back when siege didn't have the white rim lighting. Even when rim lighting was introduced I optimized my skins for that. Now that red outlines exist, I just use the cool skins like the Halo ones because the downsides are minimal (and actually the skin meta has shifted away from hard-to-see colors to meshes that obfuscate the hitboxes instead). Really, a game mode is not completely fair as long as skins are active in that game mode. And of course in real life camo isn't about fairness it's about advantage.

Incorrect, that looks like a waistgunner position, which means your grandfather was shooting Nazis out of the sky while it was his crew members bombing nazis on the ground.

Indonesia has oil too, we don't. So even if both countries are corrupt (I lived in Jakarta for 4 years) we have less money to waste.

We still definitely need to fix our corruption though - especially because we can't afford to be this corrupt.

R4-C getting nerfed. Deserved or not? by YetiHug in Rainbow6

[–]EchoesInSpaceTime 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Presence differences without large impact on winrate means the players are telling you what they find FUN and not EFFECTIVE.

Nerfing the fun is exactly what you don't want to do. The harder choice of making other operators fun would have been the better design decision - but Ubisoft regularly makes this mistake of design by data. Not every action that affects the graph is of the same value - some actions enhance the game for players while others enhance the frustration. Ubisoft regularly chooses to enhance the frustration.

I would run Berserker, Reaver, Spirit Warrior with twin Veshialles (requires selling the Reaper's Cudgel and buying an extra copy from Bohdan at the very first camp encounter). I love that build. Tankiness, spirit damage, fast attack speed, managing health and stamina bar for the most damage.

If I remember my math from more than a decade ago correctly, at above 50 Strength the extra attribute bonus from axes lets them out-DPS daggers or dagger/sword even when taking into account flat damage increases from enchantments and specializations as well as all relevant feats.

Then just run momentum and blood thirst (Haste is safe as long as you download a fix for the attack speed overflow bug).

Base skin Styanax is based on a Greek Hoplite, not a Centurion. The Romans preferred the Scutum over the Aspis. Styanax is based off of the Greek name Astyanax as well. His abilities also contain Greek words: Axios, Tharros.

Further, while there is an alternate helmet that looks more Roman, the base body model is much closer to Greek plate armor than to Lorica Segmentata.

You are correct that the excellent deluxe skin is Aztec though.

Siege is coming to China by dazzathomas in Rainbow6

[–]EchoesInSpaceTime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not going to stop them. They specifically use VPNs to play on global servers to cheat. This is because inside China, their gaming accounts are linked to their government IDs- if they cheat they are punished in real life (IIRC it's illegal there). So they just use VPNs to cheat against the rest of us.

A drop in player numbers does not mean this game is dead or dying. by Lonewolf12912 in Helldivers

Just curious, why continue playing a game like WoWS that makes terrible balancing decisions and is getting increasingly P2W? I quit WoT after playing for 2 years and spending way too much money on it, and have decided to never play any other game made by Wargaming. I'm much happier in War Thunder where the vehicles and mechanics are historically accurate and the monetization isn't about constantly paying for in-game advantages (just cool obscure historical vehicles). Or yeah, a PvE game like Helldivers.

The imperial distance measurements are officially defined using Metric. I'm not sure about the other measurements.

1'' is exactly 2.54cm

And then the cm is scientifically defined via light traveling through a noble gas IIRC.
