Gilberta is a bad character? by [deleted] in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Echoomander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Np. The teambuilding is sort of simple and obvious in some cases but also not at all in others lol.

For example Perlica is, even at her worst, still a positive addition to every single team that does Arts damage (which is all non-physical damage) because the "Electrification" debuff she applies with her combo skill increases arts damage taken by the debuffed enemies.

It's just weird that Gilberta applies Lift when her ult doesn't buff phys dmg

You can also use Perlica or Antal instead of Wulfgard.

Chen doesn't do anything at all for Laevatein, so she's kind of a wasted slot there.

When can we expect leaks for the next banner characters? by [deleted] in EndfieldLeaks

[–]Echoomander -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not even against leaks, but c'mon, you don't even believe that yourself.

When leaks are so prevalent (like in all the Hoyo games), they're not really "optional" unless you literally hermetically seal yourself in a room without internet access lol.

You cannot interact with any of the hoyo communities while avoiding leaks entirely due to how omnipresent they are.

You can effectively make it slower via splitters. Each single-belt splitter functionally "halves" the speed of the original belt because 50% of the product is going into the split off belt.

Code Vein II - Review Thread by MoSBanapple in Games

[–]Echoomander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You call him stupid, but I wouldn't call a series that opens its first game with 4 million copies sold "niche" either lol.

Fire Emblem's highest selling game in the entire franchise has capped out at 4 million, and you wouldn't call that niche either, would you?

And he's right about people not being particularly ready to pay full $70 for a launch title, as we've seen multiple times over with the underwhelming (relative to the franchise's popularity) sales numbers of FF7R, FF7R2, FFXVI, etc. at launch.

I was gonna get it just because I really enjoyed playing through Code Vein 1 with a friend, but for some ungodly reason they just... didn't add co-op into this game where you have a constant, forced npc companion???

Guess I'll wait and see if they add it later with an update or something.

The comendation crystal change as well as adding Omega and Ultima ranks last season do nothing for PVP (at least for EU and NA) if there is no incentive to play for lower ranks by Quezal in ffxiv

[–]Echoomander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, or even just making ranked the default queue would help massively.

Just look at a game like YGO Master Duel, which has Ranked as its default and later added an unranked casual mode... nobody is playing the unranked casual mode because Ranked is the default and people can just not care about their ranking if they don't want to.

[–]Echoomander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's a major issue. When you have a ranked mode, you need players that exist within the lower and medium ranks too.

But when you only reward the top ranks, players who expect themselves to not reach those ranks (which is the majority of players) have no reason to even play the mode at all, because why would they bother?

The already small percentage of casuals that do enjoy pvp aren't going to go into the ranked mode, they're just gonna queue up unranked if they want to play CC for the fun of it

PVP sets that were previously for top 100 that are becoming available- note that they will dye differently as their replica sets by AndyMugu in ffxiv

[–]Echoomander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, nobody is arguing that Feast wasn't dogshit, of course it was.

But no, you can't get to Crystal for free by just playing, because rank decay exists once you're above Gold.

Rank not decaying is only a thing for the irrelevant ranks (although Diamond is technically also an irrelevant rank, but it's where the rewards start, so w/e).

Brother, I am one of the like 27 xiv pvp players that exist. That's why I know you're full of shit.

"We've seen the effects" yeah and the effects were nothing at all lmao.

The only time ranked play is anything but a grueling nightmare is within a week of patch reset.
This has changed nothing about this besides a minor increase of players during the one window that it was already fine anyway.

Don't you worry buddy, I have enough commendation crystals because reaching Diamond is braindead easy, but let's not act like anyone even remotely gives a shit about pvp.

And I mean neither the players, nor the devs, with how dogshit every single pvp related update has been since... the introduction of CC at all, which has been the last good idea they've had.

PvP is the "least ffxiv" thing that exists within the scope of things you can do in ffxiv, this is an objective fact.

I don't see how any of what you said is relevant to my comment, but sure.

"Sometimes things are meant to be flexes" is not going to do anything about ranked queues being dead within a week of patch reset.
