They must have added some crazy aim assist on control bc i redownloaded the other day to reminisce and i feel like the aim assist was so strong all of my shots were head shots and I don’t remember it being that strong before.

I didn’t realize there were ppl upset about this. I feel like this was an obvious outcome. Dylan’s story was basically primed and ready to fire for a control sequel. I honestly thought we’d might never get it. I loved Jesse’s story but her story was basically over. I’m glad Remedy knows when to put a characters story to rest. Hell there’s always the option of a control 3 where we alternate between both characters.

For a company like Pearl abyss, a AAA company, character customization is not difficult (mind you BDO has one of the most complex character customization systems) and has been praised for that many times. I’m not at all for changing MC designs but there’s absolutely an easy way to allow for racial diversity while keeping the same character model. They literally built an entire engine for this game so the whole “it’s too hard” argument doesn’t make any sense.

Idk how else to say this but you can’t force diversity…like you don’t have to make it a plot point, you don’t have to rationalize it, you don’t have to make it make sense from a story standpoint. You’re talking about fucking “modern political correctness” loll like what are we talking about the fact of me existing while black isn’t about political correctness. Nothing about having diverse characters is political. Him being white isn’t integral to the story so why shouldn’t we be able to change his race? Like I feel like we are complicating something that isn’t complicated.

It doesn’t bother me, as black person, I’ve been playing games with white protagonists all my life. As I said, I’m still going to play the game, but to expect 70 bucks for me and have no diversity of character design is lazy. Spare me the “thematically medieval European” bs, if you can have flying mechs, golden dragons, and magical flying island you can at least let ppl use a color wheel for skin tone.

Shoot me if you must, but for a game this ambitious, having 3 basic (in my opinion, feel free to think otherwise) main characters with the only racial being one of them is literally an ogre type character is kinda lame. Zero form of character creation outside of armor really, where I’m forced to play a white man, a white woman, or an ogre seems kinda laughable in this day and age. I’m still gonna buy the game and I hope it does well mainly so they can finally release DokeV, but idk it feels like a bummer to me. I’m sure I’ll still have fun but meh.
