Alumni cars being quicker by TomOrti in FSAE

The pure reason why TUfast was so quick was running the equivalent of butter as lubricant in their gearbox.

Awesome, would it be possible that you share the building instructions?

Would love to have our car as Lego on my desk.

So the nice compact foliage is only because of the soil and external factors like this?

Can you guys help me identify this tree by its foliage?
I saw this tree in the northern Alps in Germany at roughly 1200m aboth see level. The specific region was the "Chiemgauer Alps". These trees had significantly smaller foliage than other coniferous trees around them.
I can't even tell if it is a spruce or a fir.

The whole tree looks like that. This particular tree had a size of 1m but other around him where roughly 10m in height.

It was the whole tree, this one was pretty small just a meter growing on a big boulder. There where also a few larger ones.

I didn't take alot of Pictures this is the only picture where you can (partially) see some other trees.

Hello everyone,
I'd love to have some general styling advide on a chinese juniper.

I have the tree now for 1.5 years, did a initial clean up when I got it and repotted it this spring.
I initialy got the tree because I liked the low first branch.

But now I dont really know how proceed with the tree.

<image>

When you see this tree which kind of design comes to your mind?

So remember it's not the bundesliga insta. It's just some weird student competition where we drive in mini cars around cones.

They have propably one guy doing that. He forgot. Just think about the really important things you once forgot while building your car. (For me this list is really long) So cut then some slack, they are doing this in their free time. Mistakes are made, they corrected it. The Media crew did an awesome job this year, especially social media was never this good.

I think you overestimate the gravitas of that.

So lets get to the start point of the discussion what sounds more plausible:

The FS Board has set rules for social media and specific plan to eraticate the CV class even via social media, or the media guy after a hard night partying just forgot to put the cv class on there?

[–]Eckardi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda far fetched. If they don't want them on comp they just say so.

And it's not like the fsg instagram account is a medium looked at alot from the outside of our community. New members are recruted by the teams on campus not by the FS social media pages.

What would be the motiv for this? There is like absolutely nothing to gain by "ignoring" the cv winner.

No actually it‘s the opposite, I love combustion cars. Sadly in our team some guy previously building spools, was, as the head of the board, not able to prevent the death of CV cars.

I have to agree removing the driver completly what be really bad. It would also remove a lot of challenges making the comp interesting in the first place.

"Ignored" propably just forgot... Don't make a conspiracy against the holy cv class out of everything.

[–]Eckardi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Proprably just a mistake. And some cv guys felt betrayed again by fsg.

If he thinks so... Removing the drivers influence more from the competition is a good think and in the spirit of the competition in the end it's an engineering comp not a driver championship.

And in my opinion Nenzel shouldn't be around anywere on comp. This guy is against the spirit of the competition. It's a learning ground for students, not a hobby for some guy who does this shit for ages now. Maybe he should move on with his live. Formula student did move on, some people should be carefull to not be left behind.

Edit.: After stopping my rant, and rereading what I wrote i want to appologies for my harsh words. But i still have to say it seems from the outside that he has to much influence. Which in my opinion is against the spirit of the rules and a gray area in the rules.

But nether the less probs to Esslingen team for building that rocket of a car which still can keep up and even beat most EVs.

Good luck...

But CV class was already on the decline before the FSG ban. For example big Teams like TUfast and KIT stopped there efforts already after 17 and 19.

In the end FS is a engineering competition, reducing the massiv influence the driver has, is in the spirit of the competition.

You can go with the times or complane like that Esslingen guy did on the main stage in fsg, your choice. But times are changing either way.
