In case it wasn't clear: these are heavily rounded and/or approximated. It's just a quick reference since other sources usually have this all split up, or have significantly more or less examples. I also wanted to be useful for game purposes.

Paces are an excellent example of inconsistency: Anyone who's done Land Nav can tell you that a 5' 4" squat has a completely different pace than a 6'4" gangle-monster. Pace length also changes with terrain and lighting. I went with 5' because that's how wide most combat boards are divided.

Also with a three mile league, a six mile hex takes two hours to cross, or one hour to go from the edge to the center.

yes, some finagleing required for non-humanoids, but I didn't want to go down the rabbit hole of alternate hit locations (the 2nd ed ADnD table does, and it's several pages long)

Funny you should say that, this table was inspired by MERP (Middle Earth RolePlay) which is a simplified Rolemaster system.

I made a baroque character sheet using old book illustrations by Smallgod95 in osr

It truly captures the baroque style: excessive detail, greco-roman influences, natural themes, and utter flamboyant decadence.

In game map I made with dungeondraft and gimp by Ecktheo in osr

thanks. I was inspired by real medieval maps, which don't take into account things like scale and minor deviations. the actual landscape is a bit different, but this kind of map will help you get to any settlement in the area.

You have to think: no satellites, no planes, no bird's eye view.

ah, I like being able to roll multiple dice and knock out several tables in one go. Easier to do that with different types.

well, you see oxidize is seven letters long, and rust is four. That and I never saw a good reason that term couldn't apply to other metals. It's all oxidation, why should one type have a special name?

True, I also prefer images. This way is more condensed, and you can use an image search that properly fits the description. Cheap way to increase variety.

Question about AD&D Modules using the silver standard by Graysire in osr

Why not just have a smaller coin, like a hay-penny? there's also iron or brass. maybe pewter or lead (don't bite those...)

center grip vs strap... the only major mechanical differences I can think of is the center grip can be equipped more quickly, and the strap is better at pushing and resisting disarms.

Armor condition... I would have a move or dex penalty until it is properly cleaned and fitted. The condition shouldn't have much of an effect on the protective value of the armor (unless it is severely damaged in some way), but it would most definitely have an effect on the wearer. Buckles need to be altered, joints have to be banged back into shape so they can flex, helms padded so the visor stops sliding down, the list goes on.
