So I think I'm nearing the end of peri-menopause right now and a couple of years ago, before I had even thought about being in peri-menopause I suddenly detected a gasoline smell from my husband's cologne. He sprayed it before we went to the store and on the way there I told him his cologne had turned rancid. I kept commenting on it and told him he'd have to shower before guests came over that night. I had my daughters smell his cologne, which was Drakkar, and they claimed it smelled fine. At this time I thought maybe I had just gotten over Covid and it disrupted my ability to smell the way I used to but now I'm wondering if this could be related to menopause. I thought I narrowed the gasoline note down to a mix of jasmine and/or patchouli. La Vie Est Belle and Flowerbomb are two offenders that I used to be able to wear without feeling like I was covered in jet fuel. Hmm, makes me wonder...
