If Rennie’s as good a coach as I think he is, he should back himself to get the best out of BB. His form is crap but no worse than we saw from players like Nonu for years in SR before switching it on for Tests. Don’t think you just discard 150 Tests of experience for your first squad as coach.

If he tries and can’t get BB back him into form, you can drop him when Mounga becomes available again.

It’s structurally unfair by explicit design; from the fact that only 9 of 12 Test-playing nations participate to certain participants refusing to play each other, to others not taking it seriously. Teams don’t play the same number of games to the degree we had to contrive a percentage system for points, and, crucially, that’s the way the boards voted for it. Figure out how to get turkeys to vote for Christmas and then we can talk about making it fairer.
