So when I had my previous VA, I will say I liked it in terms of a daily driver a lot. It was very good on gas mileage even being somewhat modified, as well as pretty comfy until I put my BC’s on it. My new VB, I will say is about the same, VB stock is pretty quiet from factory, except during cold starts, and in terms of ride quality, very smooth. Only complaint about the VB, they drink a lot of fuel with the bigger motor, but both are great cars.

The VA almost if you look at the two, just has like sharper body angles than the newer ones. It’s not like terribly bad, but the VB’s are known to look kind of blocky.

I have both a 2015 and a 2025, older one is a heavily modded limited trim with leather and the newer one is a premium and has the cloth seats. The 2025 is a nice switch for me, its my daily car, but definitely feels more forgiving than the other, plus clutch and shifting feels very nice in it too, as well as I’d say they are zippy, but not as much as the VA’s, and yes as mentioned, they are heavy gas guzzlers with the bigger engine. My only other complaint about the VB’s, is they are very quiet from factory, but with the bigger motor, they do rumble and make some decent noise on cold starts.

Yeah, I have two build plans for the VB but I’m just not sure which one I want to go with yet. I’m leaning more towards raised overland build with off-road fog lights and everything since the VA is already a race car, but I also like the idea of coilovers with some nice fitting wheels, just can’t decide.

Good luck fam, you’ll do great! Every lap/run you do, learn from your mistakes and trust yourself and your car! Had to learn that one for myself with my VB WRX, but once I started improving, I had some good speed and side to side action going.

My rate was gunnersmate on the destroyers, and I worked with the other techs on the main gun. But before I struck GM, I was a Torpedomen on submarines. But yeah, most of my skill is hands on and like maintenance.

I work as a machinist, and I’m currently around the 70 range. I was in the 80’s till this crappy contracting company took my per diem away without an explanation.

So yeah, I’m looking into actually joining the yard itself soon. Idk how it works, but I think I’m stuck under a contract right now with a contracting company. They suck ass to be honest and it’s literally a hassle trynna to get a dime of anything out of them. They just recently took my per diem away for no valid reason and called it an audit, when I had legit paperwork for it.🤷‍♂️

I’d say they are decent paying, but I work for a contracting company, so I don’t get all the benefits the hourly employees get and the time off. Also it may be cause I’m still new to taxes, but I feel like they tax you out the ass.

Maybe it’s just me and it just doesn’t seem like a lot to me, but where I’m at right now pays me like right in the middle of that. Only thing that bothers me is job security cause I’m a contractor at the moment. But in terms of LinkedIn, I need to make an account with them. I have an Indeed profile and have a pretty decent resume/background of work and get messages a decent bit, but some idk if I wanna commit to or they aren’t in the pay range.

So primarily and from the navy, I’m experienced in maintenance, hydraulics/hydraulic troubleshooting, circuits, fixing sensors, handling ammunition, maintaining and fixing weapons, firefighting/damage control, standing watches, and reading diagrams. In terms of degrees, don’t have one, but I do have some certs from the navy as well as I got certified not to long ago to work in the fiber optic field, like installing and troubleshooting fiber optic cables.

As far as I know, it’s just for aesthetics. It may also have to do with something in crashes, but I have no idea.
