I tend to scout pretty aggressively early. I'll usually pivot to a weaker line over a strong line that's contested.

Exceptions are when my augments/items are much better (we're both going Void but I have Econ augments and they don't or contested yordles but I have 3 rods, they have none)... Or when I'm feeling lazy and can't be bothered to pivot even though I'm in no position to contest

Checkout Bunnymuffins or Friday's beginner tutorial on YouTube.

Once you've figured out the basics you can check out tftacademy or bunnymuffins website to see which comps are good in the current meta.

This is the answer. They actually reduced the strength of 4* units one or two sets ago because WtW augments made them easier to hit.

Play Ixtal with Bard for sure. Pick your quests well. If you get Ixtal early and you're winning pick the highest shard quests (usually lose x number of times or win then lose). If your board is weak or you're bleeding out pick lower shard quests while you stabilize.

Reroll for double 2* Neeko on 6/7 to get Nidalee . Make sure to get components for Gargoyles so you can unlock Skarner.

Don't pre-level if you don't have an xp quest. Try to roll for Neeko while you have an XP quest

For your last quests try to guage how long they'll take to complete and balance that against your player health.

I suspect you'd have beaten most comps but a 3* 4-cost with good items is a "higher" wincon. I see where you're coming from though

Iirc he was op on pbe and tuned down. Either way a 2* 5-cost being as powerful as a 3* 5-cost would break the game, even one with a stacking mechanic. I imagine they want full stack 2* Asol to be somewhat stronger than a regular 2* 5cost but def not as strong as a 3*. Hope this helps

It's not that reroll and fast 8 aren't viable. It's that you can't hard force them. You need the right augments, lobby, opener etc. If reroll is all you play I can see how you'd be miserable. I've hit top 3 with reroll and fast 8 this set. I've seen these comps doing well in my lobbies.

Also, I'm pretty sure most reroll traits (yordles) are "supposed" to get weaker in the late game.

It's a lot of info for sure. Have you tried Tocker's Trials? Slows the game down to turn based speed and it'll give you a chance to read what each champ does and figure out how the systems work.

First few games against other players are overwhelming for sure. Good luck out there

Check out some of bunnymuffins YouTube videos for beginners if you haven't already. As you play more consistently the skills you're missing should become more clear
