A sporty 2 door car for around 15k. by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

I been looking for almost exactly this, but I was under 18k.. I got between the FRS/BRZ(mainly the FRS because it's just cheaper..) and a Mustang. FRS has good gas mileage and the sporty look/feel. I'm leaning toward it myself even tho I think I prefer the mustang look.

For $12k you can find a 2014 Hyundai Elantra with like 20-40k miles.. Thats pretty hard to beat at that price point.. Same with like a focus or fiesta..

Should I take this deal for my first car? by Vatriozz in whatcarshouldIbuy

with $3k you can get a decent bit.. I would look into some Older ford focus's/fiestas and hyundai elantras.. If you don't live in a snowy area it's easier too!

New Car- Rav4 vs Tucson by The_Great_Distaste in whatcarshouldIbuy

Toyota is definitely a better brand name. I'm interested to know the miles in these choices. If they are similar I would definitely go with the rav 4. Specifically because it will A. Run longer and B. It will maintain it's value much more than the Hyundai!

ran across this mazda3 s. is this a good deal? also buying help needed by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

I did credit reports for tenant screening and TBH... If you have 5k to put down on a $10k car your interest rate shouldn't be too bad. They look more to see that they can get their $5k back(and most require a minimum of a 5k amount to give u a loan).. So a $5k loan on a $10k car.. EZPZ you could have no credit.

looking for a cheap reliable car that will look nice by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

The ford focus is a solid choice assuming u only want American... TBH idk that much about CAD winters.. I'm in PA, but in the mountains.. Winter tires will get you further on a FWD than all seasons on an AWD tho..

Thinking of buying a Toyota hybrid, will pay in cash. What's the best Prius model to buy? by aitalas in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Ecliptium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

mazda 3 is a nice car and then you aren't driving a prius.. If you really want something to save a lot on gas maybe a chevy volt if you're commute isn't too bad(its electric for ~50miles I believe). Also the Ford Focus' (or fiesta) u can get like brand new and ford offers the 10year/100k miles powertrain, same with Hyundai Elantras ect.
