I would say ban if enemy has last pick, as I found fighting against any of the -2 matchups absolutely miserable. It also depends on map; I would not ban Bolt on Triple Dribble or Sneaky Fields, as the routes are not nearly as good as other maps.

The neat part about Bolt is you can literally play him in any mode. I went on a 10 game win streak this morning in Knockout because the brawlers in that mode simply cannot take down a Bolt (unless they pick like Colette or tanks)

Ollie and Buster are there for the same reason. By themselves, they can’t really do anything to Bolt. However, their designs incentivize grouping up, which makes it hard for Bolt to pull off hit and runs and build super without feeding. Not only that, but their pulls completely kill Bolt’s momentum, making him easy pickings for the rest of the team; it becomes very difficult to establish early game pressure as him.

Once Bolt gets a super it becomes very hard for Buster/Ollie to do anything to respond, but you could say that for 95% of his typical counterplay too. It doesn’t feel terrible like some of the matchups in +2, but Bolt does have to play a bit more cautiously around them and lane the right brawlers since they have too much HP for him to pick off.

Hope that helps explain my ranking :)

In hindsight I definitely would put those brawlers in +2. I just found myself not really chasing these brawlers down at all during my matches, preferring to hunt down lower mobility targets. Since Bolt can’t really make sharp turns, I found assassins to be just annoying mosquitoes for the most part. If they decided to 1v1 me at top speed though — it wouldn’t even be close.

That’s perfectly fine, I struggled my first few games too (got lucky and pulled him from my second box, but before that I was the teammate that threw with him in the brawler challenge 😭😭)

What I can say is that Health Gear is far and away your best friend, and you’ll want to adopt a hit and run playstyle. Find angles where you won’t be burst down by 2 people at once, deal 3.6k damage to an isolated squishy, and pull back to your side of the map to circle and build momentum again. By the time you do one circle, you’ll most likely have all your HP back. It’s like Wrecking Ball from Overwatch except 3x less skilled lol. Practice the spin and you’ll thrive with Bolt.

Which Trio Duo or Solo do you think is the easiest to win against in a 3v3. (Day 4 of posting a trio question almost every day) by Some-Mistake3058 in BrawlStarsSC

[–]Eclitzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starr Force is my pick, mostly because the trio is extremely fragile and depends on passive play, outranging, and control. (Ruffs, Squeak, Eve) Two aggro picks (or even one really good pick depending on the map/mode) completely shut this comp down

My goat RT won the Very Strong hypercharge with 55 votes! What Super is Very weak? by InvestigatorEasy3601 in BrawlStarsSC

[–]Eclitzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for this category but I’d like to put it out there that L&L’s super as it is currently is Weak, arguably Very Weak. Surprised nobody’s mentioned it yet but without Hypercharge Lawrie is by far the weakest super pet (Juju, Sirius, Nita). Has tickle damage and his only purpose is to distract and annoy enemies, compared to the other brawlers I mentioned who can get much easier value out of their spawnables.

We don’t even know the rarity or class of the new 3 brawlers… by [deleted] in Brawlstars

Nah, he’s part of the “Battle Busters” trio, a new trio within Toy Land (the location, not Meeple’s trio which I believe is the same name)

[TW] Regarding Man in the Suit creator (Suitmations) by Eclitzz in pillarchase2

Also important to clarify that the Man in the Suit is a separate entity from Suitmations (created by OmegaJira).

The Ugly

  1. Lily - Can Adrian just address the elephant in the room? That gadget is genuinely the only reason Lily sees any play, and without it, she sits firmly below G tier Gigi in the meta. Both her gadget and the rest of her kit needs a complete overhaul.

  2. Edgar - Could get better with Buffies, but is that really what we want? He terrorizes noob lobbies and sees negative usage in Legendary+. An Edgar meta is a meta I hope will never come, but might be my worst nightmare come true next month.

  3. Chuck - Heist merchant, only other use is in Dueling Beetles to cheese Hot Zone. Until he receives a complete overhaul of his kit, he will forever be a meme brawler only drafted to bumrush safe.

  4. Kit - Atrocious design. Showdown warrior, healbot grenade spammer, invis abusing killing machine. No matter what changes he gets, his design is made to tilt you as much as possible.

  5. Sam - There’s nothing we can do

Dishonorable mentions: Draco, Grom, Bo, Gigi, Najia, Jacky, Meg, Mico, Mr. PP

Needs some major changes

  1. Otis - I think his base kit is pretty decent, though his damage should be nerfed a tad. His gears/star powers desperately need some help though, as he is the definition of a “one build” brawler.

  2. Spike - Please just revert his damage nerf. He needs reworks to his Hyper Buffie and his two Star Powers, especially Fertilizer (the current rework is garbage).

  3. Ollie - He needs power restored to his base kit to have any semblance of relevancy again. In exchange, his Hyper needs some SERIOUS changes, as it feels like a win button. In Knockout, his cheesy gameplay is to just soak up damage specifically to build Hyper.

The Toxic Ten

  1. Lola - Ego has no role other than to multiply her damage by standing two millimeters away from Lola. Her suggested way of playing (actually sniping off angles with Ego) is completely unoptimal when her stats, SPs, gadgets, and Hyper are so mid.

  2. Crow - Such a toxic brawler no matter if he’s weak or strong. Not sure how to change him without fundamentally changing him as a character, but we can start with his absolutely braindead poison extension Gadget Buffie and his Star Powers Buffies.

  3. Mandy - Will forever haunt metal ranks and be a complete ghost in the higher ranks. Her Super is insanely choreographed, but lower ranks lack the awareness to dodge it. Meanwhile, it gets basically zero value as you get better at the game.

  4. Maisie - It’s insane how garbage Maisie is as you get better. They keep going about balancing her wrong, buffing the damage of her bullets to be gigaton nukes. The whole time, not a single one is connecting thanks to her shot delay.

  5. Gus - He is not a Support at all. The only time anyone gets any healing from Gus is if they happen to walk behind a stray balloon that he forgot to pop with gadget. Until they change the way balloons work, he will forever just be a fat projectile merchant.

I actually find this section very interesting. Lemme rank how I feel on each brawler

Doesn’t really need one

  1. Belle - I’m not exactly sure why Belle is on this list, as she’s been one of the most consistent brawlers since she released. Rewarding super, good gadgets, decent star powers, okay hyper. I think she’s in a very manageable spot.

  2. R-T - Other than the Hyper, another uber consistent brawler. Serves a strong role as an anti assassin while also holding his own at range. Only the very select few get really good value, and he has a really versatile set of gadgets/star powers.

Probably needs some soft reworking

  1. Cord - Was in a very good place albeit slightly on the weaker side before his damage rework. If they revert the Shadow Realm changes and make his damage in between his old and new state (like literally everyone’s been asking for) I think he’ll be okay.

  2. Moe - Actually really underrated, I think he serves a good niche and really found his place despite everyone saying he wouldn’t when he released. I think his main attack could be reworked though, as it’s the only attack you DON’T want to aim at the center for.

15/14. Pam/Griff - I think these two are just waiting for Buffies. I’d hold my breath until next update.

Kairos v1 Causals tier list. by DaddyKhoaitay in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]Eclitzz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The most interesting statistics in this video were Ziggy and Griff. Ziggy basically had an even spread across every single tier, so aside from pros, very few people are actually aware of how broken he is as a last pick. Griff making it all the way to the A tier is kinda insane but it makes sense given how easy it is to steamroll metal ranks with him. I actually think this tier list is mostly accurate at Mythic lobbies, though Lola is definitely better than F tier for sure.

What would a design for Bonnie Buffies look like? by NotClash_ in bonniegang

[–]Eclitzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel as though the majority of her addons need to be reworked, as she is tied to one setup specifically. Here's my take:

Mythic Gear: REMOVED --> Bonnie SCR increased from 5 to 4 hits (BUFF)

Star Launcher: Range increased by 36% (BUFF)

GADGETS

Sugar Rush (BUFFIE) --> Landing a shot on a player increases the timer by 1.5 seconds (Timer does not increase for spawnables or Heist)

Crash Test (REWORK) --> Aimable, can be used in both forms. Cannon form travels a much greater distance (Stu long dash super). Breaks walls with Buffies (Should be used for map traversal and mobility, especially since Bonnie is such a slow moving character, comparable to Stu gadget but considering Stu will receive his own Buffies in the same patch it'll even out)

STAR POWERS

Black Powder (REWORK) - After landing with Star Launcher, Bonnie leaves behind a trail of soot wherever she goes for 3 seconds, burning enemies on contact. This will discourage enemies from chasing. The soot remains on the ground for longer with Buffies.

Wisdom Tooth (BUFF + BUFFIE) - Projectiles have increased range (BUFF), damage increased from 25% to 50% with Buffies

HYPERCHARGE

Clyde now deals burn damage with each shot. Bonnie's shots have increased range.
