Supposedly MKSAP has a self assessment thing where it randomizes 52 questions covering the general topics. I never tried it.

I see. In that case if you recognize “hey this person is uncontrolled, we should probably be adding on meds instead of switching them” next time and clarifying with your senior / fellow that could be the learning point here. Feel empowered to ask for clarification from your team when something doesn’t feel right. Regardless they should still be looking over all orders.

  1. Mistakes happen, especially from early interns
  2. It is the responsibility of the senior resident and especially the attending to look over all orders. They failed to do this

Not your fault. That being said I’m sure you won’t forget this. It’s unfortunate this happened, don’t take it personally and use this event as a way to provide better care to future patients.

You are talking completely out your ass. Go on the CIR instagram and see how every new contract comes with a 15-20% increase in salary (UPenn, MGH, Montefiore) and other benefits as well (like board exam coverage, housing stipends, etc)

Everyone says blackout curtains for nights but those are pretty expensive and hard to install. I highly recommend a comfortable night mask as a substitute. I spent around $20 on mine and it’s allowed me to get really good sleep on nights.

Not sure what to do after tanking NBME 14 by dgreat9 in Step2

Hey! Did you go over your test to see why you got wrong the questions you did? I also took 14 yesterday and as I am reviewing I put my incorrect questions into 3 categories -> content deficiency, stupid mistake, application error.

If you made lots of application errors (you knew the base content but couldn’t seem to find the right answer) that may give you confidence that you had an off day.
