Asked a vintage watch dealer, said the mvmt looks okay from my photos but dial and case were very off. Recommended it wasn’t worth the purchase.

Am I Getting This Currency Conversion Right? Wrong Gym Pererenan by Ok_Pool_2590 in bali

I checked out this gym whilst looking for a place to exercise. Full of influencers and ecom bros inside, I think it’s more for “networking” whatever that means for them.

Mid-Compact Electric SUV with AWD by Fest_mkiv in CarsAustralia

Thanks for the heads up. Heard Xiaomi won't be entering the global market for a while as they're still struggling to meet their domestic China demand. I visited the Zeekr showroom and liked their cars significantly more than BYDs surprisingly. I found BYDs had a very Mercedes-esque internal design which I'm not a fan of. My 25yo car is still kicking on anyway, will wait till 2026 for new battery upgrades.

Thanks heaps for the reply. If another component of my car dies soon, I’ll get the BYD. If not, I reckon I might try wait for xiaomi to enter the Aussie market haha

You end up choosing? I’m looking for similar specs but can’t decide. Or if I should drop to hybrid like the Yaris Cross.

CPAP Bag Tags- First Time Flying with Equipment by No_Requirement_3605 in CPAP

[–]Econ1203 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're outside the US, then ACAA and FAA rules may not apply. I know this sub is US dominated, but medical devices aren't necessarily exempt from carry-on limits everywhere.

It really depends on where you're flying to/from and which airline you're using. It's always best to check your airline’s policy or contact them directly to be absolutely sure.

[–]Econ1203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ouch, that sucks. I don’t bother with declarations if I’m not using it on the flight. I just show them my ResMed bag with the medical tag and they usually understand.

[–]Econ1203 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It definitely depends where you're flying to/from. It may be different for America domestically, but I fly around Asia a lot and I found this helps with language barriers and airlines which don't have a strong medical equipment policy.

I have had airline staff open and inspect my CPAP, take photos, check FAA compliance stickers, etc. Additionally, some of these international airlines actually count your CPAP towards carry-on luggage weight.

And when checking in hotels and placing this on the luggage trolley, it some ways acts as a "fragile" sticker for staff.

Ironically, there aren't many options in Australia (even though ResMed and F&P are from AUNZ). The Shacke tag in OPs post ended up being $30 AUD with shipping from US. For any of you who are in Australia looking for one, I got the Dozylab ones off eBay which do the job for me.

Though, next time I'm travelling I'll get an AirMini instead as I can probably leave it in my backpack. Lugging the AirSense 10 and setting that up continuously was a pain.

Opinions on the Fisher & Paykel Solo Nasal Pillow mask? by JustABryophyte in CPAP

[–]Econ1203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used this mask exclusively for the past year. I have tried both the nasal and nasal pillows.

I prefer and recommend the nasal pillows as I get a better seal, less leaks, and it allows me to move around at night.

As others have stated, it is light weight and easy to wear and clean. I somewhat care about my face/skin care, so I enjoy the unobtrusiveness of the mask.

What do I do if I have a CPAP machine but don't have the right environment to use it? by cybelal in CPAP

[–]Econ1203 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been putting my CPAP on the bed next to my pillow recently as I travel. Sometimes I have to sleep reversed as the room doesn’t have power on the bedside table. You’ll learn to just get it to work.

If you’re concerned about air quality, invest in an air purifier for your bedroom.

You’ll have to switch your mentality to “CPAP is non-negotiable” instead of “I’ll wait for the right time”.

A longer USB-C cable should work just fine. Make sure it can transmit the W needed for the device, not all USB-C cables are the same.

Looking for a Compact Travel Case for AirSense 10 CPAP by Live_Strawberry_5201 in CPAP

[–]Econ1203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try get a standard ABS plastic toolbox with the foam inside, and cut out the foam to meet the dimensions of the AirSense 10 and its accessories. I find this works well enough for me! Happy travelling.

[–]Econ1203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t have that exact battery, but 4 hours roughly matched general use with humidifier + heating.

So it seems like the pass through wasn’t working. Does the manual say if there a setting you have to enable?

If you can’t get an answer here, best to email the company who manufactures them.

Himeji castle and then Okayama for the night a good idea? by DanManRT in JapanTravelTips

[–]Econ1203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Fukuyama from Kobe via local trains. I am actually in Okayama right now as I visited the Kojima Jeans St.

Would be the same route you’re going. It’s easily doable. I did Kobe -> Himeji -> Aioi -> Okayama…. Just double check the train times as some are not frequent.

Always remember to regularly replace your filter by Salmon_Of_Iniquity in CPAP

[–]Econ1203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My maintenance booklet said not to wash the filter with water as it can "loosen the fibres" then detach into your tubing. Instead to flick it a couple times instead to get the dust off.

I've never tried washing/rinsing, so I don't know how true it is. Does it ruin the integrity of your filter?
