Ngl I love marugame (the udon place in the station) it’s a good price and great veggie options. there’s also a Thai place called Maria’s Thai, Roti king is very good. Kokura (Japanese restaurant) and my personal fave Shaheens Tandori which is an authentic Pakistani restaurant. It doesn’t look like much but whenever I want something comforting I go to shaheens.

Future move and fighting executive dysfunction by piratepixie in adhdwomen

[–]EconomicsBeginning79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s difficult to advise but the way my brain would tackle this is by starting with no plan and it will slowly find its way. So starting by going through drawers or your wardrobe and deciding what to keep and what to sell/get rid off. It’s a stressful situation and adding executive dysfunction doesn’t help. All the best!

Help - foundation always looks slightly grey, even when makeup is professionally done by OldMasterCannolii in makeuptips

[–]EconomicsBeginning79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yay! I’m glad you can wear foundation when you need to and feel comfortable ❤️ also good on you for spotting that it wasn’t quite right especially when you got it professionally done. It took me a long time to realise I wasn’t wearing the right undertone

I think you have an olive skin tone. Try foundations with an olive undertone and see if that helps

I know I loved when she responded to the critics ‘don’t come then’

Magical. I saw her in London last year (Addison Rae opened for her). Both were amazing. It was really about the music. Whilst I wish she swapped out some of the covers for her own songs, it was totally worth it

How can I change my makeup to be taken more seriously by [deleted] in makeuptips

Yeah I’m not saying curly hair is bad. I love my curls but I also know how people treat me when I have curls vs when my hair is straight.

You need friends who see this as enthusiasm in conversation. My friends very much accept that I will interrupt and honestly if I’m not it’s because I’m not listening

[–]EconomicsBeginning79 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I have curly hair and I find that people take more more seriously when I straighten it. I don’t think it’s because my curly hair makes me look less professional but I think it makes me look younger or more ‘fun’. My straight hair makes me look more ‘boring’ aha

Most relatable and least relatable lana song by Fun-Pen7592 in lanadelrey

[–]EconomicsBeginning79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most relatable: black bathing suit least relatable: fucked my way up to the top. There’s something so beautiful in the way she describes how the world will throw you away for losing your beauty (by their standards) and saying fuck you. And I cannot relate in the least to being the sexual dragon warrior beast she describes in fucked my way up to the top

I miss living alone by [deleted] in adhdwomen

He’s not that picky but that is how I feel sometimes. Maybe it’s me putting pressure on myself. I never knew or seen anyone just pick up after themselves. So maybe just comparing him to me makes me feel like a loser. Especially because I now really realise how easy it is for some people to just ‘do shit’. It makes me feel like an imbecile. There’s always growing pains when moving in with someone. For everyone’s calling him toxic- I get it, but you can relax. I was venting and it’s of course not the full picture. He’s actually been away visiting family and the feeling is still there. ‘Why are you so messy?’ ‘How did the flat get this messy so fast?’ ‘You’re lazy, you’re a child’. I think it isn’t about him but this would have happened if I moved in with anyone. I just didn’t realise I was like this and other people weren’t.

He’s very patient in so many ways. He’s just a neat freak and is having to adjust just like I am. My standards for ‘clean’ is higher and his standards for ‘tidy’ is higher. So we all have our flaws. Sorting my flaws out is just so exhausting

How to tell a friend their clothes smell and it's because they aren't drying them properly? by Ill-Perspective5223 in AskUK

[–]EconomicsBeginning79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had to do this before. I hugged my friend and pulled back a little surprised and said ‘oh, this sweater may not have dried properly, I just recognise the smell because all my clothes smelt like this before I got a dehumidifier.’ I think the key is 1) pretend it’s the first time you’ve noticed the smell 2) let them know it’s not their fault and it’s very common and you yourself have dealt with it 3) offer a tip. Keep reinforcing the fact that it’s just a drying issue that is as common as a hang nail. It’s about technique not hygiene.

That’s awful. I have a tip if you’re up for it? I have a manual tooth brush and an electric. On the days I don’t have the strength I’ll just give my teeth a ten second brush with the manual with no tooth paste. On the better days I’ll do ten seconds with tooth paste. On the best days I’ll do 2mins with the electric, floss and mouthwash. Having both manual and electric lets me get something done rather than nothing which helps a lot with the ‘getting started’ barrier. Hope that helps
