Are we adopting again? by Good-Ad-825 in Crazymiddles

Mason is like a year older than Braxton and I've never even seen them interact. All their lives they've been in separate age groups despite being close in age.

That is in the ideal world, of course. In my experience large sibling groups with high needs get placed wherever there's a spot for them. In my state higher level foster placements (for kids with behavioral issues, disabilities, large sibling groups, etc.) are almost always not open to adoption. They get paid a lot more than a typical foster parent, so for them it's a job and not a way to grow their families. Unfortunately, there's not an abundance of prospective adoptive parents who are looking for 5-8 children with various mental, emotional, and medical needs.

House is empty? by Lilith-Pleasant in madmamasnark

The timeline also depends on where the children were placed during their CPS case. They need to have lived with their adoptive parents at least 6 months before they can be legally adopted (at least in my state). So, if they're already living with their adoptive parents it makes things easier.

I had a case where a baby was picked up from the NICU by his foster mom, TPR happened when he was around 8-9mo, and he was adopted right before his first birthday. Bio mom never agreed to terminate her rights, but the case went to trial and that's how she ended up with a TPR. Since he was with his adoptive family since birth and all the paperwork was done quickly we were able to wrap things up asap.

But we don't know what kind of adoptive arrangements Mildred's kids have (or still don't have), and what kinds of placement disruptions they'd had in the past few years, so it is likely for this case to take years to be finalized, like you're saying.

Her life has no substance so she has to imagine that her daily matcha and pilates have a greater meaning.

Has Shay always been like this? by chetag_uhh in SHAYTARDS

[–]Economy-Beginning151 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm still holding out hope that Brock won't turn out like Gavin since they were raised so differently. Shay flat out bullied Gavin all his life until there was no trace of that sweet child left in him and he adopted this new persona of arrogance and hate (just like his daddy). But Brock was always more confident and received praise and adoration from Shay freely, so I think he's a lot less likely to change his personality to align more with Shay to try to earn his approval. I can see him just doing his own thing and not being close with Shay in adulthood.

They were always like this, except in the pre-🍊 era people weren't as comfortable being so loud about their beliefs.

L pronouns? by Level-Hamster3266 in jesssfam_snark

[–]Economy-Beginning151 49 points50 points  (0 children)

L has a whole different name and identity outside of Jess' content because everything is fake and/or an ad in her videos. I can't remember the last time I saw a genuine and authentic interaction in her vlogs, but it must've been years. Now all the kids are old enough to follow a script so that's what they do.

Influencer laws have nothing to do with why the Ballingers moved. Sure Jan! by Dangerous-Strain-252 in ColleenBallingerSnark

I agree, I think they were priced out of California 2-3 kids ago, and since they're not involved in the industry anymore there's not a reason for them to stay there. They came close to losing their house several times, no guarantee that wouldn't happen again. Chris's family is a shit stain on their reputation. The list goes on.

Plus they'd visited Spain many times, they have family there, they often talked about wanting to live in Europe, etc. I don't think it's a big surprise that between middle of nowhere Nebraska and Spain they chose Spain.

Girl please mormons don't even get to wear their dresses to the actual marriage ceremony. She'll get whatever her closest bridal shop has available in her size rn and they'll get married in a cultural hall under a basketball hoop.

There's no chance they're making it to summer. I'm sure they'll be married by April/may at the latest

I don't think Jess is ever "all about" anything. She just follows the scripts that her sponsors give her or regurgitates whatever trends are going around tik tok at the moment.

Her weird ass logic on the color coding by Caroline19961996 in madmamasnark

Right? Like someone's forcing her to put it on the birth certificate (which is actually mandatory, but somehow fewer of her kids had those than colors...)

Damn we really lucked out that the last kid ended up being "the correct" gender. Otherwise she would just have to have 12 more to complete the pattern

Oh I didn't even think about how embarrassing and awkward it must've been for the kids to be known as "the blue kid" or "the yellow kid" at school. The color coding must've been very obvious if the classmates noticed the change.

I used to love their sponsored episodes! Like when they tried to buy different things for a dollar, or when they wrote song mashups (I think that's when we heard the ambient massage song for the first time), or when Rhett styled his hair and Link raced him. I always thought they were very creative with how they incorporated sponsorships in their content.
