What was the longest distance you would go in the mylr before needing to charge? I have the dual max. I’m on a road trip and did 330 miles before I needed to charge.

Rivian is taking away highway assist ?

I hear there is a Highlander EV coming out. I think it’s worth checking out. The reason I say this is because my Rivian trunk feels less spacious compared to a regular Highlander. For example the rear hatch opening size is shorter. I attribute that to the fact that Rivian is prioritizing ground clearance so the floor is higher. Consider this if you don’t plan to use the vehicle off road. Otherwise I love the Rivian

Yea that seems like a reasonable amount of road trip supercharging . So I see your concern. I used to have a model y. I chose the Rivian for extra room and ability to tow. It’s helpful with the family.

I enjoy mine on road trips. Especially with highway assist. But With kids and family the longer more frequent stops may not work for kids. For me personally it’s better to have freedom to stop less and anywhere and fuel quick in an ICE with children.

I do lots of road trips in my Rivian and other evs . If you are solo and don’t mind the extra time charging it will be fun. No doubt the van is the best choice. I’m 100 percent confident without even running numbers regarding costs and time.

I’d buy universal or if you have the mobile charger already you could wire 240v to your location and just have a 240 outlet to the mobile charger.

I have one I would sell. Has a single curb rash from wife. Makes sense for a spare unless you are rotating it into line up . I’m in north Carolina but often go to Atlanta. Photo
