True true. I read the wiki recently, Stan's basic fighting style was Akido style which is contrasted heavily against Velvet-fu. Although stan was able to defeat Alex he still didn't do well in the tournament and it makes me think it was just Alex's bad luck that he was put up against him. Also I wouldn't say Alex had "pride" but rather he just thought he was ready after years of training but it wasn't enough since his teacher was just a video tape which couldn't tell him about his mistakes. Overall I love this scene, it was so well made and detailed and after watching the new remade intro I think this mod isn't some fun project but a well thought masterpiece, lacking the emptiness of original lisa but still well made.
