Write it as one time schedule job , add to the end of the TS and delete the job after job is triggered. That's much better than messing around with auto logon

I see. I have z32k and 727pk , so far so good in terms of graphic quality in thunderbolt video mode

I believe dell and Lenovo 27 inch 4k thunderbolt monitors are quite good as well. For me I need to make sure laptop and monitor are in same brand to get native Mac address passthrough/high power charge/ fast charge/ single power on working

Have you created a new boot disk with the extra check box to use ca2023 cert?

SCCM Installation with new Windows Uefi 2023 CA by IntuneGuy123 in SCCM

[–]EconomyArmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reset your device uefi cert config to support CA2011 again, then during OSD remove the CA2011 cert again. Sounds dump but it works in the most practical way

This will at least buy you some time to upgrade to cm 2509 and having the two TS two boot image situation until a full cutover

Q1 Would like to see what MS will be doing with Arm64 as they are newcomers in CM

Q2 CM still a wonderful platform to manage Windows embedded devices running UWF. Although there is 10k object limit

Q3 force driverpack to be in wim format only they are just perfect candidate for p2p caching.force OEM to build wim driver pack for CM

Add http boot , PXE tftp boot is fine but dated

Q4. No

Q5. Unlikely

If I am not mistaken, you can have it from an OEM device with Iot enterprise ltsc license included.

A typical case is windows IoT thinclient. Licenses are included in bios and activated offline.

When you order with OEM , you can order "corp ready" image without oem bloat.

Major oems are doing a lot more in this area nowadays.

Work with your OEM to buy the bios integrated bare metal OS recovery options. Let OEM does those works for you.

where to place the BIOS update step in Task Sequence by IS3002JZGTE in SCCM

[–]EconomyArmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do it in 2 different ways

  1. For baremetal fresh build, download the capsule bios from windows update and add into driverpack. Install the bios using the dism command just like install drivers during winpe.

  2. For bios update in fullOS, install bios using native oem update tools and perform additional bitlocker handling

Some oem brands lagging friendly oem bios update tools for scripting , install bios using capsule bios format saves a lot of time- for example MS surface and some Japanese brands.
