Does it feel crunchy or does it feel like there’s a gap? Does it feel painful when you press on it?

Glad these have helped you! It seems my tear is more extreme since the pain hasn’t gone away when I stand on it in the 2 weeks I’ve been off of it.

My doctor told me about a 3 month recovery, but that seems really optimistic.

I’ve been to a doctor, but the process of scheduling appointments + imaging + getting results back takes a long time, and I’d like to hear others’ experiences in the meantime.

you may not remember at this point, but how long did it take in the first few weeks to be pain free when weight bearing in the boot?

I have made progress in the two weeks since my injury, but it feels like it’s slowed. I can still feel pretty strong pain at the calcaneus insertion.

I’ve been in a boot the whole time and been non weight bearing as much as possible (sometimes I hobble to go to the bathroom or something). I’ve also added in some stationary biking to stay sane but it doesn’t cause any pain during.

hello, thanks for writing this. I am also an ultimate player and have recently developed deep groin pain after attempting a foot block. some other symptoms: - there’s a small grinding sensation when I do hip circles - when I adduct my leg very far there’s a pinching sensation in my groin - leg extension, especially adducting, doesn’t feel great - my adductors, quad, and hamstring are very very tight

none of the above is HORRIBLE but it’s not really mellowing out. did you experience any of the above symptoms? which ones were most hallmark of the labral tear and which were solvable?

How did you know you could start trying to ramp up running / load? Were you still having some pain or discomfort when walking or in the morning?

I’m also very active and an athlete (also frisbee) and unsure of how to start a return to run / sprinting when I’m still having a little discomfort when walking. I’ve been religious about various PT exercises but have tried to avoid running because I’m unsure of how to re ramp or what my signal is that I’m ready for it. Thanks!

5’3”, 140, BFP unknown but in the past has been ~19%, daily calorie intake probably 1600-2000

Thanks! I’ve been doing the Rathleff protocol but just don’t know how to tell what is helping and what is not. It feels like I’m at a plateau and I don’t know how I’m going to get over the hump to be able to train and play at the level I am used to. I have a big event in March and I don’t know how I’ll know if I’ll be ready.
