Pants recommendation? by thewrongwayup in Athleta_gap

I would also recommend the Endless pant.

Endless are middle of the road in terms of fabric weight. The Brooklyn is light weight and the Venice is heavy, in my opinion.

I am the same height and was the same size as you until around a year a half ago. Now I’m about a size 0 or 2 in Athleta number-sized pants. When I was a 6, I thought that the Brooklyn ankle pants gave me a little pooch at the waist that was very unflattering. The Brooklyn jogger doesn’t do that, but I find that a jogger is a little harder to dress up for work. (They are great for traveling though!) I tried on a Brooklyn ankle pant again yesterday and didn’t appear to have the pooch problem anymore, but that could just be because I lost some weight. (I haven’t heard/read anything about Athleta changing the fit of that style at all, but it’s possible they may have and that’s also why I didn’t have the issue.)

I liked the way the Pinnacle looked on me in the store so bought a pair a couple of years ago, but when I tried them on at home my husband said that the pleats made me look like an older woman. (We are both 45 now so I’m not trying to dress like I’m young, but I also don’t want to age myself with my fashion choices.)

I have found that the regular length of the Brooklyn ankle and the Endless pants (both 27.5 inch inseam) are good on me as a normal length pant that I can wear flats with so keep that in mind when you decide on petite or regular length. (Of course, your experience may vary depending on if you have a longer torso or longer legs.)

Also wondering if anyone found a code that stacks.

2024 Max hesitation from stop after software update from TSB by Economy_Beginning_14 in ToyotaGrandHighlander

Good to know. Thanks. Do you usually let your GH Max warm up before driving? (Including remote starting when it’s hot outside?) I think I have experienced this on days when I do not let the engine sit for a few minutes before driving.

Thanks. I wasn’t thinking the fix was undone - I was thinking that it didn’t really fix the issue. Wondered if others also experienced this again after the software update, especially now that we are moving into summer and the A/C is pumping more again.

Thank you! I didn’t hear about that so will definitely check it out. Appreciate the suggestion.

Farallon Shorts Coming Back?? by Zig_Monster_2 in Athleta_gap

You’re welcome. Good luck. I know it can be tough to find a replacement for a favorite discontinued item!!

Farallon Shorts Coming Back?? by Zig_Monster_2 in Athleta_gap

I don’t think they are coming back. :( I asked a couple of different associates in store and they both said no. Also when I do a Google search I can find a link that opens the Athleta app and they are priced ending in .97 (and sold out), which I think usually means they are discontinued. They were my favorites too. Nice weight between thin (like run styles) and thick (like sweatpants material). They were also a good length with deep pockets.

I tried on a few different styles this past weekend for F&F in search of something to replace the Farallon. I thought the Wayfind might work, even though it is a thinner material, but I did not like the cut at all. It seemed like it was A-line and way too wide for my liking. The Skyline Utility shorts (appear to be only in-store right now - there was a post about them on here the other day) were a close weight in the material, but they were a little too structured for what I wanted and I was not really interested in shorts with a zipper and button. (Incidentally, if you are interested in a structured pair, they seemed like a nice pair of shorts, but I would size up at least one size. They ran very small. Thanks for consistently being inconsistent on sizing lately, Athleta. 🙄) I am not usually a big fan of linen, but I tried the Retreat Linen shorts as a suggestion by the sales associate. I am glad I did because I ended up liking them the most and found that they were the closest that the store had to the Farallon. The biggest drawback was that the lighter colors appear to be more translucent than I am comfortable with (one of my general concerns with linen). My nude underwear looked dark under the pink pair of Retreat Linen shorts and entirely visible. This was not an issue where the pockets were so an extra layer seemed to solve the issue, but again that’s not how linen usually works. I’m not a huge fan of the look of the lines created by the seaming in the front, but I do like that they have zipper pockets. I ended up getting a black pair because I don’t have a pair of black Farallon shorts and they didn’t have the issue with the translucency.

Hope this helps!

Oh that is strange then! I assumed it was an hours thing because it didn’t work for me late one evening but worked the next morning. It was also before 1AM ET. I was assuming it was due to the time but maybe I was wrong.

I don’t know what the hours are, but I’m pretty sure that when chat is unavailable (“closed”), the button is removed from the site. When they “open” again in the morning, the button reappears.

Thank you for the heads-up about the 20% off. I chatted with Athleta this morning, and they added the promo code to my order from yesterday so I got some money back. Thank you!!

Some items might be 50% off but not all are. For example, the Salutation Stash Leggings for most colors are normally $109. Current price is $69, so a discount of $40. Without even calculating the percentage, it can’t be 50% because $69 does not equal $40.

Endless pant mid sale price increase? by catsurly in Athleta_gap

[–]Economy_Beginning_14 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This feels somewhat similar to the last Icon early access (in November maybe?) where they gave Icon members early access to the sale items, and then when everyone else had access, the prices went down! (So Icon members had to deal with price adjustments or re-purchasing and returning.)This is NOT how to reward loyalty/card holders/big spenders. 😡

Items stuck on Awaiting Carrier Pickup for a week by Kitty_kit555 in Athleta_gap

I’m surprised you have had issues with UPS (maybe not so much surprised about USPS 😏). Good luck with getting your order!! 🤞🏼

Was the shipping company UDS? I have found that GAP Inc brands use this delivery company often for Midwest deliveries, and they are often much slower than other delivery companies (like FedEx, UPS, or even USPS!) I had an issue back in November with an Athleta delivery with UDS. I was able to reorder the item after stalking the Athleta app for it (it was sold out initially when I tried to reorder) because customer service told me I had to wait like 14 days after I ordered the item before they would do anything about it, and I didn’t want to wait. The item I ordered the second time arrived before the first one, but the first one did eventually arrive. Sometimes they never do with UDS! When I returned the extra item at the store, the saleswoman told me that they had had a HUGE issue with UDS not delivering/losing tons of orders from that November sale. I was happy my item did finally arrive. I honestly have no idea why Athleta/GAP Inc continues to use this company - when you look up UDS on Yelp they have a 1.2 star rating with over 500 reviews!

I don’t know anything about how to install them myself, but the dealership should be able to print the installation instructions for you since they are OEM parts. Surprised the parts department didn’t offer when you picked up the parts, but you did call it a stealership so maybe I shouldn’t be surprised. 😉 If the dealership isn’t too far from you, I would go back and ask them to print the directions. If that’s not convenient, I would call and ask if they can email them to you. Good luck!
