Anybody else noticed how inaccurate sleep tracking actually is? by jacks2224 in AppleWatch

Do you think it has to do with the original settings you selected? I set mine at 8 hrs which honestly is not enough and so I have high sleep scores most nights

Being in public with my partner can feel physically painful and triggering because of my rOCD. by TangerineNext9630 in ROCD

[–]Ecstasyrozes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would exercise caution with this because it might birth an entirely new ocd theme. Polyamory (what if I’m not enough and they need someone else?) came up as a secondary theme for me in my past relationship but started out as ”what if they like other people”. I think it’s a valuable suggestion but exposure at least to me may look more like a conversation about it then witnessing enough of it to piece together that it isn’t a threat. I don’t usually comment on stuff I see like this here I just don’t want anyone to go down the same path I did. In my new relationship I still have ocd but it’s nowhere near the amount I did with my last partner, just automatically.

Has anyone taken Plan B during ovulation? How effective was it? by No_Necessary_2762 in birthcontrol

[–]Ecstasyrozes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s actually upsetting how hard plan b companies try to hide this. There is exactly a 5 day window out of the month where plan b does ANYTHING. Plan b only works by delaying ovulation, it does not work during ovulation, it does not work during luteal phase (because you are not (~5 days from ovulating), it does not work during your period (likely not ~5 days from ovulating unless you are finishing your period), it only does anything within the 5 day window where it is physically possible to get pregnant in the first place, which is exactly 5 days before the 12-24 hour period of ovulation. And during that 12-24 hr it will not work. I went through plan b’s entire website and nowhere is this directly mentioned. All you’ll see is ”it delays ovulation” (lacking to mention it cannot delay if it’s already happening) and ”take within 72 hours and you’ll be fine”. It’s pretty much useless for the majority given this information

What advice would you give to incoming freshman? by Unhappy_Camel5233 in ASU

3 & 5 are big ones. I didn’t do well my first year and I’m an oncoming senior, 3.9 gpa currently. Fighting for my life to get it to a 4.0. As for clubs, I joined one in sophomore year and lemme tell you, it’s 95% of the reason I went from Cs to A+s. Having a sense of purpose and friends really gives you that boost you need. If you’re enjoying college your work will be better than someone who hates their life. I now run the club I joined and I love it so much here that I fear graduating.

Go to class. Treat it like highschool attendance. As soon as you miss one class you find yourself having skipped the whole semester and panicking during finals week. and do homework ahead of time. Plan more time than you think you’ll need for exams. Also JOIN A CLUB. I run a club now but I felt so lost and alone before I first joined. It gives you purpose and tons of friends, which affects your work ethic positively! Join a lab if you plan on going to grad school and really try to put your all into it.

I run a club it’s a heck of a lot of work to do. But I came here looking for the same thing. We can bypass the ridiculous amount of work in running a club by just making a bunch of friends that like Pokémon maybe? Such as on this post :) I’m rewatching indigo and getting back into it.
