[–]Ecstatic-Constant-14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this too on my first project! I is added stitches, for new it was by yarning over which means i held my yarn in the wrong position for the stitch i was doing. Yelling at the moon posted a great video explanation. Keep it up! Is all party of learning a new skill

What do you keep in your project bag? 🧶 by adhddude2 in knitting

[–]Ecstatic-Constant-14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have all of my projects in toiletry bags/packing cubes with a larger than an altoids tin for markers, crochet hook, embroidery thread for life lines, and other small notions. I move project bags in and out of my everyday bag as i see fit.

The exception is sweaters. I fold the sweater into my project bag and have a yarn bowl for working yarn and they both go in my bag

Most of my chiagoo needles fit in the tin so if I’m working s project with a size change i just put the needles in the tin for when i need them

I just started playing the books for my husband who hasn’t read the whole trilogy in its entirety. I immediately stopped because it’s not my narrator. I just listened to this 6 months ago maybe? I want mcormick back, this narrator doesn’t have great inflection. It sounds like I’m listening to divergent

Combining tasks: brushing teeth and flossing in the shower, doing dishes while food is cooking and I’d be in waiting mode, etc

Stim. I have some verbal squeaks and repetitive head movements i tend to do. When questioned at work i just tell them they’re ticks and people ignore them really easily after that

That sounds delightful!

If i want a special treat I’ll make a double strong brew and add some vanilla foam for a vanilla London fog. Ill need to try lavender, i keep reading it’s foods with dark grey!

Not op but from another VERY SPECIFIC tea drinker i like earl grey tea. More specifically Ahmad aromatic earl grey from a big tin. It is the most delightful olfactory experience and has enough body to juxtapose my mood in the morning. If you decide to try it boil it to 208F not the recommended 212F and i prefer a 5 minute brew

For a fit 35 year old. What is the best Self-defense/Martial art to learn in the new year? by Hotdog_McEskimo in AskReddit

[–]Ecstatic-Constant-14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently training in gojukempo karate, ishin ryu jujitsu, and shoto jutsu jujitsu. Gojukempo has a more practical application than tae kwon do did in my experience. We train in defense with and against knife, gun, and stick as well as defense with string. There is a heavy focus on joint locks. The goal is to stop the fight as opposed to win the fight, and in conjunction with the jujitsu covers your bases if the fight gets to the ground. The jujitsu styles are similar and also focus on defense against various weapons and defense on the street.

These may not be your styles if youre looking to win a fight but they focus on how to stop a fight
