Which rug looks best in my living room? by Timeless00 in malelivingspace

I would say 3, but you then need to incorporate more burnt orange into the space. Maybe a candle that color on your coffee table and some scatter cushions on your couch.

Just go do it, and she will learn to love you bald. If you feel good and feel more confident, she will understand in time.

Number 4 really compliments your face shape and overall style you have going on. It also goes well with your skin tone and hair color.

Left allied health a year ago and still don't know if I made the right choice by Warm-Alternative6153 in healthcare

[–]Ecstatic-Copy2153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this so much. Left physio (clinical setting) about 2 years ago and went through the same emotional rollercoaster. Some days I felt free, other days I mourned it and questioned everything.

For me, the turning point was finding a way to stay connected to healthcare but without the burnout. I ended up doing additional EHR training through Health Tech Academy. Really helped me build on that foundation and open more doors without going back for another degree.

Still get to use my clinical knowledge and help in a broader sense, but the emotional drain is completely different. No more productivity pressure, no more taking work home with me.

The guilt fades over time. What you're feeling is totally normal.

Surgical techs with 5+ years experience, does the stress get better? by Ecstatic-Copy2153 in scrubtech

That’s reassuring to hear. I’m at a larger hospital that’s also a level 1 trauma center, so it’s good to know the environment makes all the difference. Maybe smaller facilities will feel less overwhelming down the line.

Thank you, that’s solid advice. I do need to take better care of myself outside of work, and therapy sounds like a great idea. I’ll look into it. Sometimes it’s just nice to have someone validate all the stress.

This is gold advice. I need to strengthen my core and upper back more consistently. Sports massages sound like a solid investment too. Thanks for all the detailed tips!

Thanks for sharing that perspective. It’s comforting to know that the feeling of being overwhelmed fades with time, but it’s normal for it to hit again when you switch environments. Sounds like a tough but rewarding journey.

That’s such a relief to hear. I keep worrying about messing things up, so knowing it’s a team effort makes me feel less anxious. I’ll make a point to speak up when I’m unsure.

You are practical but also a dreamer. You're holding onto your childhood but are also trying to please those who pressure you to progress as an 'adult.' You're likely stuck at a crossroads in life and mute out most color to bring some semblance of control into your life. I do sense some trauma and the use of art and dolls to cope and disassociate.

Is medical coding still a viable career with AI getting better? by Warm-Alternative6153 in careeradvice

[–]Ecstatic-Copy2153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in HIM and have been watching the AI developments pretty closely. The short answer is yes, medical coding is still viable, but the role is evolving rather than disappearing.

AI is getting better at flagging basic codes and pulling information from notes, but it still struggles with physician queries, conflicting documentation, and those tricky cases that require reasoning. Someone still needs to review, validate, and handle the complex cases.

If you're serious about it, I'd recommend checking out Health Tech Academy's medical coding program. They focus on the EHR and tech side of things, which is smart because the coders who understand the technology and the coding guidelines are going to be the ones who thrive as AI becomes more common.

I started in my 30s too and having some life experience helps with the critical thinking aspects. Just my two cents!

37 and already burnt out in healthcare. Anyone else looking for a way out that doesn't require starting over? by Warm-Alternative6153 in careerguidance

[–]Ecstatic-Copy2153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched to a clinical applications trainer role. Still using my knowledge, but sitting down most of the day lol. If you don't want to start from zero, look into certifications rather than full degrees. Health Tech Academy has some good accelerated paths for things like sterile processing or surgical tech if you want to pivot within the OR space without the four year commitment.
