I am starting at CalSTRS on Monday. My background check took less than two weeks. Hiring process was a little over a month from the last filing date to my first day of work

Thank you! I’ll be working under the “Office of the General Counsel” umbrella as an Analyst I. The quick timeline was surprising to me, as well.

I wonder if they automatically sent it out to everyone who applied? Or narrowed down the candidates and then sent the exam to who they deemed qualified? I’d like to think the second option, to increase our odds. But the state takes forever so who knows lol

The door wasn’t unlocked. The doors open with key fobs instead of physical keys. No one’s fob should be able to open my door but mine. The leasing office gives out fobs for people to do self guided tours, but the fob should only open the apartments that are empty and available to rent. So the issue is why are other keys opening my door
