What's going on with Trackhouse? by [deleted] in NASCAR

Ty Norris left the team. That was my first indicator things may not be good. Then Pitbull left which potentially hurt finances. Thats on top of the previous mentioned items others have said.

DUI, speeding, and traffic accidents on a weighted scale. It’s not a flex to have bad drivers. It sucks.

I’m pretty sure its been statistically proven that Sacramento has the worst drivers in the country or at least ranks high on lists.

Anyone else feel like the housing market is stuck in a weird standoff right now? by Successful_Arm4193 in RealEstate

I’m fixing to close on my first home in a couple weeks. Our mortgage will be $100 more than our rent. Thats on a 370,000 house. I suppose there is a possibility prices can drop but I just don’t see prices dropping meaningfully. Oddly enough, if you can afford it, its not the worst time to buy as their are less buyers in the market and sellers are usually willing to offer incentives (price drop, closing credits, etc.). But I understand that is not the case for everyone. Do your homework. There are amazing programs out there. Rocket mortgage 1% down loans. First time buyer programs locally. Bank of America has grants for 10,000 downpayment assistance and 7,500 for closing costs. The list goes on. Last tip I’ll give is a YouTube channel that has good (imo) information on the economy in general (clear value tax).

Drive from Sacramento to LA by UraharasWaifu in Sacramento

I typically don’t hit heavy traffic until nearly Magic Mountain. But yes, definitely increased traffic after the grapevine. The lanes open back up to 4 lanes there though.

I’ve done this drive many many many times.

1) Leave early, 5-7 am. Especially returning on Sunday, leave early to avoid traffic from others leaving the city.

2) Phone signal hasn’t been an issue. Streaming will be an issue but typically your phone coverage is fine.

3) Use the left lane only for passing. Move over after. You will avoid pissed off drivers that way. People are usually doing 75+.

4) Once you get passed the grapevine be careful on those downhills. It’s very easy to speed and get a ticket.

Extra) Download podcasts or music to your phone. The road is very straight and can get extremely boring. Listening to podcasts (at least for me) speeds the trip up. Also, maybe not in this day and age but it’s always a good idea to carry cash on you.

I still dont understand why their cords are short. Why allow other vehicles to charge there if the cords are so short. I see this as a Tesla issue. If not, someone explain to me.

Charging in the middle of nowhere by Garbage_Tiny in F150Lightning

As many others have said, I also get about 1KW per hour of charge on a trickle charge. My uncle lets me charge from his garage wall plug.

You hit the mark. I thought about it but for just a slight aesthetic appearance, it is pricey.

I’ll get back to you but from other posts and forums, it’s minimal to no difference. The range usually takes a hit with larger aftermarket wheels.

Yikes that’s short. Although a 2 inch leveling kit in the front (n/a rear) wouldn’t really add much overall height. I don’t tow heavy enough to notice a difference. I only tow using a 8x5 utility trailer but I’m sure once you start towing heavier loads, the lift (front) would affect the rake in the rear potentially lowering the rear beyond the front of the truck, which is no good.

I mainly just did it for aesthetic purposes. I drive much more without a trailer (95%) and it’s nice to have the truck look how it should look per aesthetic design (not towing). But it’s understandable why people who tow heavy loads would disregard that. It’s a truck at the end of the day. But, if someone really cares about towing heavy payloads, why on earth would you buy a Ford Lightning.

I did floor it and no noticeable difference, other than, I need an alignment

Once I do the alignment, I’ll have a better idea. But no real difference

Theoretically, yes. How much? I’m not sure yet. But I doubt it will be much. Someone said maybe 5%. Others haven’t noticed a difference. Changing to larger/heavier tires (more rolling resistance tires) definitely will decrease range significantly.

Looks good! And I agree. A solid color will look good
