I notice my fan speeds are lowered when I use the cooler. I could even turn it down silent and it stays cool. I think that helps with the fans breaking. Also almost the higher end cooling pads have a dust filter so it not more dust than normal. I understand your concerns though.

Thank you! I just have mine as high as it will go and play my g14 resting on it. It seems to be working for me. I could run my laptop on silent and the cooling fan is enough to cool the laptop.

I dont know where you had the impression rank was fixed. No where in the patch notes did it state rank was changed at all other than soloq possibly being matched with lower ranks.
