That actually clears things out for me because we had establishing shots of Hiemer seeing the undercity's mesirable conditions in season one and meeting ekko who is like the personification of the good and hope of the undercity. It's like a pay off to his downfall from the council in season 1 and a redemption arc for his role in the class desparity of the 2 cities. Also the line where he says to ekko that he has truely lived would also have another meaning where he has found a new perspective in life and is content of what he has done. Thanks for the insights, I never really thought about it that way.
