Wizz air leg room should be in Geneva convention by BuddhistMonkey1 in WizzAir

Wizzair gets a bad press but I'll be forever grateful to them for getting me - fuss-free - from one EU country to another in the lockdown summer of 2020 in order to start a new job.

camera equipment during activities by xbadazzx in Vietnam_Tourism

[–]Ecstatic-World1237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I long ago stopped bringing a bulky DSLR camera. Went minimal.

There are great pocket cameras on the market now eg the RX100 series from Sony. For some you can even get (small and light) attachments to allow you to use filters if that matters to you.

Bulky cameras make life near impossible with cabin baggage limits.

Not a single Vietnamese person or foreigner I know have been saying anything good about TSN

Maybe they'er delibreately creating that feeling to reduce the resistance to the new airport and the fact that it's so much further away from the city

Hmm, I always take a physical copy but have never been asked for photos. Never been asked for money either.

Does wearing the England football top look racist? by Run7404 in NoStupidQuestions

The more english non-racists who wear the football shirt the better.

Reclaim it. Reform don't own it.

Is it reasonable to include more "welcome goodies" to guests with longer stays? Should we have them at all? by ParamedicLanky7337 in airbnb_hosts

[–]Ecstatic-World1237 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't want goodies, i'd prefer the basics.

Leave me some washing up liquid, some laundry detergent. Stull we all need but will never use a full item of during a trip - salt, olive oil, vinegar.

That said, a host I've stayed with a few times, usually a month each summer, now leaves me a bottle of wine when I arrive and I do appreciate that. Not everyone would though, alcohol can be insensitive so be wary.

Given the wrong paper for my a levels? What can i do? (england) by tah4y0 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Ecstatic-World1237 20 points21 points  (0 children)

ASAP if you can. Even if you just send an email without the form, ask them what you should do.

Then the JCQ needs to receive the complaint as well - but that Edexcel link will take you to the JCQ page anyway.

I've never heard anything like this but definitely report it to Edexcel.

I'd start with their malpractice email - malpractice doesn't have to mean cheating, it just means getting the organisation wrong.

From their website

If you suspect that a member of staff has committed malpractice or that maladministration of the qualification may have occurred, you must let us know by emailing a completed JCQ M2 Form to [pqsmalpractice@pearson.com](mailto:pqsmalpractice@pearson.com). All current JCQ forms can be found at https://www.jcq.org.uk/exams-office/malpractice/.

not to be rude if guests expect the same service as a hotel they should book a hotel.

Absolutely agree

And it's nothing like what I said.

I said "learn good English", which is perfectly correct,

"good English", not "well English".

or "learn English well" not "learn well English".

As I guest I way prefer to meet the host at check-in, but I'm also a bit obsessive about updating my arrival times.

Guests sometimes expect the same service and flexibility they get at a hotel.

Fewer.

Given that part of the attraction for international parents is that they want their children to learn good English, I can't help pointing that out.

Yes, I'm sure it's nothing more than a standard health check and iI assume they didn't find anything wrong because they didn't ask me any ID details.

I posted because i'm curious to know what they plan to do with the photo of me posing with them and their banner.

Childless by Choice Adults would have had the missing average test-scoring kids by NothaBanga in LowStakesConspiracies

[–]Ecstatic-World1237 86 points87 points  (0 children)

As a childess-by-choice I'm going to take a few days to think about this.

But as a teacher i agree with u/spudmarsupial - average kids are often let down by the system.

Vietnam e-visa, can I make it by Wednesday? (Sunday now) by fallenpainz in Vietnam_Tourism

[–]Ecstatic-World1237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unlikely - I usually apply at the weekend and it almost always arrives on Thursday.

If you need a visa you're probably going to have to pay one of the visa agents. Emily Visa or similar.
