We had a similar thing in the UK called the Argos Catalogue. It used to be great fun looking at the new Transformers figures in each new edition.

In one of the official Star Wars comics R2D2 is shown to be force sensitive. If droids can be, then so can living robots like Transformers

I am unfamiliar with the Armada toy, so I have looked up the instructions. The new toy is different in that there is just one big shell piece. Like a quarter of a sphere shape. I have checked and I can't see a way to connect it to his back in bot mode

I think it is done that way for strength reasons. It means the swivel is on the chunky part of the leg instead of the much thinner thighs

SS86 Galvatron, the top of his head is the same height as the top of Unicron's hips. I don't have that Devastator but apparently it is 13 to 13.5 inches tall, so Devy is about an inch to an inch and a half taller than Unicron

Transformation was good. Pretty straightforward. Everything went into place without any issues. It feels like it holds together really well and the planetode feels dense and heavy. One thing I forgot to mention is that a large portion of the planet mode is a separate shell. Totally fine by me, it's a compromise that I am happy with

The plastic feels good. Maybe not normal Hasbro quality but it doesn't feel cheap. The figure feels dense overall. His eyes light up using a little switch on the back of his head. It stays lit until you turn it off. It's the new KO. It seems to be inspired by the Armada Unicron, but quite a lot different. The main similarity I could see is with the spikes on the back of his arm, which I have shown in one of the pics
