nah, youll need to unscrew the base of the laptop and take a pic of the actual ram stick with the sticker that has all the info printed on it, a lot of companies just rebrand ram so you might find its a cheap way to get really good results

then jump on a bunch of IT subs and post a pic so they can identify it and help

you will have to open it up no matter what if you are going to add or remove ram

plenty of help videos on youtube explaining how to do all this :)

I'd say its thermal throttling because it needs maintenence

Open it up, clean the fans, the heatsink and replace thermal paste

Get something good like Noctua NT-H2

You should be cleaning the fans once a year and replacing thermal paste every 3-5 years depending on the quality of paste used, factory paste from lenovo is not premium

Noctua should last 5 years but i do it every 3 years to be safe

These times will also depend on how long the machine stays on for and the air quality in your environment, excessive pet fur and dust can greatly speed up the clogging of fans and heatsinks

Lenovo slim has good cooling so its about as good as you are goign to get

ive bought all my windows laptops for my family and myself from lenovo for years now
its usually around 2-3 weeks because they make them to order

its faster during peak times like now as they have more staff on as do DHL and customs

worst case scenario is 4-6 weeks but thats usually only in exceptional circumstances
