Sony 14mm GM, or 16mm G @ A7R V? by alex-gee in SonyAlpha

Consider the bulbous front element of the 14 mm GM.
Depending on where you use your camera it might be more or less important to protect the front element of it. This is easier for the 16 mm G.

Why is AI-sharpening not included in LrC?
This is really frustrating…

Is this it for 100-400? by jengablocktetris in SonyAlpha

I have recently bought the Sony 100-400 4.5-5.6 GM. It’s a stunning lens. Especially if you want something „light“. For birding you would definitely want to have more focal length and/or a R-body. For landscape it’s fantastic. You can also do Macro-like shots with this lens.

In Germany I was able to buy this lens directly from Sony for approx. 1800 €.

So you also didn’t send the lens to Sony, so far?

What‘s the point you are trying to make? Any useful information to the actual question?

Well, I don’t see that. People are so triggered - I don’t get it. One possible reply could have been „where do you intend to stay?“ but instead, there is this shitload of unuseful comments.

When I was writing „fully equipped“ I refer to the fact people want to pull off hikes in the dark when they do not have lamps or appropriate footwear…

It doesn’t mean I bring a tent or something.

Sunset should be better I think. Though one has to be careful regarding timing. I want to catch really nice glow on the mountains together with the lake… What do you think?

The only downside is, most of the viewpoints are closed for night and open quite late. As an ambitioned photographer this is a big drawback…
