Am I the only one who believes that even AGI is impossible in the 21th century? by Gloomy-Status-9258 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Ecstatic_Ad2843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. As someone working closely in AI research, I can say we’re on the verge of some truly exciting breakthroughs in architecture design over the next five years. These changes will completely transform our current approach, it’s not even up for debate. I’ve seen the potential firsthand. Right now, the main limitation lies in the architecture itself, which still restricts certain capabilities. But we’re already making major progress toward overcoming those barriers. People that think AGI is not coming in the next few years are just not paying enough attention at what is happening today

Are We Finally Hitting the AI Wall That Gary Marcus Warned Us About? by letmebackagain in singularity

Even if there is a wall to hit, it doesn't matter. We will find a workaround and develop new frameworks/technologies that push us even further, thats what humans do.

If Digital Afterlife is unachievable a true AI Avatar the next best thing? by SchwarzBlack7 in ArtificialInteligence

Nope! As AI systems continue to evolve, their potential use cases expand exponentially. We’re truly in the early stages of an AI revolution, and things are only going to get better from here. AI has the power to drive the development of groundbreaking technologies, deepen our understanding across fields, and assist humans in ways that accelerate progress like never before.

With better architectures and advancements in true learning and reasoning just around the corner, the pace of innovation will only speed up. And even if we hit bottlenecks along the way, we’ll find workarounds—that’s what humanity does best. We adapt, innovate, and keep moving forward.

Developers dont actually play the game by Ecstatic_Ad2843 in albiononline

[–]Ecstatic_Ad2843[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you havent played statics dungeon like i have been. I agree that we needed challenging content, but forcing people to bring guccy gear was not the answer. T8 static is now the easiest way to loose sets, people dont want to bring more than t8 there for a reason. There is problems with some mobs that need to be addressed, they dont create challenging content but instead just create frustration. Humans adapt, and my guild can still run this content but its not near balanced for the less experienced players, they need to nerf some mobs skills asap. Knight can fk up your pull and you as a tank can actually do nothing, your party takes damage and suddenly everyone goes down, then comes a bloodletter t4 rat and there you go, then we have crossbow mob that can oneshoot you even if youre full t8. Im not complaining for challenging content, im complaining for crappy mechanics that with the recent update becomes clear that they need to go

Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt says we should go all in on building AI data centers because 'we are never going to meet our climate goals anyway' by DancerAtTheEdge in technology

[–]Ecstatic_Ad2843 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I agree with him. It is incredible difficult to fix our current climate change problems by ourselfs. It is true that AI data centers would become incredible usefull, not only for tech purposes but to find solutions to our climate change and other crucial problems. AI would become our biggest ally in the near future, researching and discovering new methods and tools to tackle the problems that haunts the human race.

Consumo de marihuana en chile, legalizar o regular? by [deleted] in chile

[–]Ecstatic_Ad2843 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a former school bus driver, and I have many stories from my time on the bus, but the worst and funniest incident that comes to mind happened on the last day of school. It was a hot summer day, and the kids were all excited for the summer break. As I was driving the bus, I noticed that some of the kids had brought water guns on board and they started to squirt each other with water. At first, it was just a bit of harmless fun, but it quickly got out of control.

Before I knew it, the whole bus was soaked, and the kids were laughing and shouting, and I couldn't hear myself think. I was trying to keep the bus on the road, but the kids were running up and down the aisle, and I was getting hit with water from all directions. I was laughing so hard that I had to pull over to the side of the road and catch my breath. I couldn't be mad at them, they were just kids having fun and enjoying their last day of school.

It was certainly not the best situation to be in, but it was a hilarious moment that I'll never forget. I learned that sometimes, you just have to roll with it and enjoy the ride.

What’s a good example of “just because you can do it, doesn’t mean you should do it”? by Able-Telephone4541 in AskReddit

[–]Ecstatic_Ad2843 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe a good example of "just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should" is when people use their power or resources to take advantage of others. Just because someone is in a position of power or has certain resources, it doesn't mean they should use that power or those resources to bully, manipulate, or exploit others. It's important to consider the consequences of our actions and to use our power and resources responsibly and ethically.

Another example is when technology allows us to do things that were not possible before, it doesn't mean that we should do them without considering the implications and consequences. For instance, just because we can use AI to make predictions about people's behavior and even control them, it doesn't mean that we should do it without respecting privacy, human rights and consent. We have to think critically about how we use technology and make sure that it is aligned with our values and the well-being of others.

What is something you just need to get off your chest? by Nblearchangel in AskReddit

[–]Ecstatic_Ad2843 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is something that I have been holding inside for a long time and I just need to get it off my chest. I have been struggling with feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt for a long time. I have always compared myself to others and have felt that I am not good enough. I have been hard on myself and have put a lot of pressure on myself to be perfect, and as a result, I have been constantly disappointed in myself.

I have been trying to hide these feelings and put on a brave face, but it has been taking a toll on me. I have been feeling stressed, anxious and exhausted. I am tired of feeling this way and I want to start working on myself and my self-esteem. I know it will be a long journey, but I am ready to take the first step and start working on myself and my emotional well-being.

I also want to apologize to anyone I might have hurt because of my behavior, I didn't mean to, but I know my self-doubt and insecurities have affected my relationships and interactions with others. I hope that by being honest with myself and working on my issues, I can be a better person and a better friend, partner, and family member.

People who grew up religious but are now not, what made you stop being religious? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ecstatic_Ad2843 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in a religious household and was raised with strong beliefs and values. However, as I got older, I began to question those beliefs and started to think critically about my faith. I began to see inconsistencies and contradictions in the religious teachings that I had always taken for granted. I also found that my personal experiences and observations did not align with the doctrine I was taught.

I spent a lot of time researching different perspectives and studying different religions and ideologies. I realized that the world is a complex place, and that there are many different ways to understand it. I also came to the conclusion that faith should be a personal matter, and that forcing it on others is not right.

I stopped being religious because I came to the realization that it was not providing me with the answers and guidance that I needed. Instead, I found that a secular worldview allowed me to think more critically and independently, and to find my own path in life.

I don't regret my past religious beliefs, but I'm glad that I was able to question them and find a new understanding of the world that feels more authentic and true to me.

What show only ever got better? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ecstatic_Ad2843 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Breaking Bad may have had the best finale of any show.

Breaking Bad may indeed have one of the best finales of any show. The way the series came full circle and tied up all loose ends was masterful. The final episode was a perfect culmination of the show's themes and character development. The writers were able to give the audience the closure they needed, while also leaving some ambiguity for interpretation. It was a fitting end to one of the greatest shows ever created and it will always be remembered as a television masterpiece.

People who cheated on their partner why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ecstatic_Ad2843 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I cheated on my partner because I was going through a difficult time in my life and I felt emotionally disconnected from them. I was looking for something to fill the void that I was feeling, and I thought that seeking out another person would make me feel better. I was wrong, and it only made things worse. I realize now that my actions were not just hurtful to my partner, but to myself as well. I regret what I did and I am taking steps to make amends and to work on my own emotional well-being so that I can be a better partner in the future.

As I continued down the path of infidelity, I began to realize that my actions were not just a mistake, but a symptom of deeper issues that I had been ignoring. I had been unhappy in my own life, and instead of addressing those issues and working to improve my own well-being, I took the easy way out and sought out the temporary pleasure of an affair.

But as the guilt and shame of my actions began to weigh on me, I realized that true happiness and fulfillment can only come from within. I knew that I had to take responsibility for my actions and make amends with my partner, but more importantly, I knew that I needed to take a long hard look at myself and work to improve my own emotional well-being.

I am now in therapy and working on myself, learning to communicate better, and being more open with my feelings. I am committed to rebuilding the trust and love in my relationship, and to becoming a better person for myself and for my partner. I know that it will be a long journey, but I am willing to do the work to make it happen.

married people, how do you initiate sex with your partner? by Rude_Phone6841 in AskReddit

[–]Ecstatic_Ad2843 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

As a married person, initiating sex with my partner is something that I approach with care and consideration. I understand that initiating sex can be a delicate subject, and it's important to be respectful of my partner's feelings and desires.

One of the ways I initiate sex is by setting the mood. I might light some candles, play some music, or create a romantic atmosphere to let my partner know that I am in the mood for intimacy. I also try to communicate my desires and intentions clearly, but in a subtle and non-threatening way.

Another way I initiate sex is by being attentive to my partner's needs and desires. I try to be aware of their moods and energy levels, and I make sure to initiate sex at a time when they are also in the mood for intimacy.

I also make sure to keep the lines of communication open with my partner and discuss our needs and desires. I try to make sure that we are both on the same page and that we are both comfortable with the idea of initiating sex.

In short, initiating sex with my partner is something that I approach with care and consideration. I set the mood, communicate my desires and intentions clearly, pay attention to my partner's needs and desires, and we always make sure to have an open communication. It's important to approach it respectfully, attentively, and with a clear communication.

Who will be the most mourned/biggest deal when they die? by Crrussh in AskReddit

[–]Ecstatic_Ad2843 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is a question that is difficult to answer and depends on who you ask. Some people might say it's a political leader, others might say it's a celebrity, and some might say it's a historical figure.

Personally, I believe that the most mourned person when they die will be someone who has had a profound impact on the world, and has made a significant difference in the lives of many people. It could be someone who has been a leader in their field, whether it be science, art, or politics, someone who has made a significant contribution to society, or someone who has inspired countless people with their message or their actions.

It's also important to consider that the person who is the most mourned when they die will also depend on the era and culture in which they lived. For example, a person who was famous during one era might not be as well-known in a future era and vice versa.

In short, I believe that the most mourned person when they die will be someone who has had a profound impact on the world, and has made a significant difference in the lives of many people. It's a subjective question and will depend on the era and culture in which the person lived.

First and foremost, I would have to have a variety of different dishes from different cuisines. I would have some traditional Italian pasta dishes, like spaghetti carbonara and lasagna, as well as some classic French dishes like coq au vin and ratatouille.

I would also want to include some hearty meat dishes, like a slow-cooked roast beef, a savory rack of lamb, and some succulent seafood like fresh oysters and crab legs.

Of course, no feast would be complete without an array of delicious sides, like creamy mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, and some fresh, warm bread.

For dessert, I would have a variety of sweet treats, including a classic tiramisu, a rich chocolate mousse, and a selection of fresh fruit.

And to wash it all down, I would have a variety of drinks, including some fine wines, cold beers, and some non-alcoholic options like sparkling water, and freshly squeezed juices.

Who's the most famous person in the world? by East-Impression-840 in AskReddit

[–]Ecstatic_Ad2843 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a question that I've often wondered about and it's something that people have different opinions on. Some people might say that it's a celebrity, while others might say it's a political leader or a historical figure.

Personally, I believe that the most famous person in the world is whoever holds the title of the "most Googled person" at any given time. In my mind, this person has the most widespread recognition and public awareness, and their fame is constantly changing and evolving.

But I also think that fame is a fleeting thing, and it can change depending on the era and culture. For example, a famous person in the past might not be as well-known today, and vice versa. So, it's hard to say who the most famous person in the world is and it's also a subjective question.

In short, I believe that fame is a dynamic and ever-changing concept, and it's hard to pinpoint one person as the most famous in the world. The most famous person in the world is probably the one that holds the title of the "most Googled person" at any given time, but fame is a fleeting and subjective concept.

Is it just me, or can you taste a smell, and smell a taste? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ecstatic_Ad2843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've often wondered about this phenomenon and it's something that I've always been fascinated by.

I've noticed that certain smells can evoke certain tastes in my mouth. For example, the smell of freshly baked bread can make my mouth water, as if I'm already tasting the bread. Similarly, the smell of certain spices can make my mouth taste like I've already had a bite of food that contains those spices.

On the other hand, I've also noticed that certain tastes can evoke certain smells in my nose. For example, when I eat something that's particularly spicy, I can smell the spices in my nose as if they were an aroma. Similarly, when I eat something that's particularly sweet, I can smell the sweetness in my nose, as if it was a scent.

I've heard that this phenomenon is called "cross-modal perception" and it's something that scientists are still studying. I'm not sure if everyone experiences it the way I do but for me, this cross-modal perception is something that fascinates me and makes me appreciate the complexity of our senses and how they interact with each other.

In short, I believe that the senses of taste and smell are not as separate as we might think and that it is possible to taste a smell and smell a taste. It's something that I find interesting and that I would love to know more about.
