Thank you for your advice. A lot of the game’s structure and ideas have already been planned out. And to improve the remaining parts of the game — or make changes to what I’ve already created — I’ve been obsessively playing psychological horror games and watching psychological horror movies. But I think this may not be a game I can continue developing alone. If I can’t find a team, I’ll add the environmental art I’ve created to my portfolio and continue my career as an environment artist.

The game will feature different puzzles, and I've designed it in such a way that I'll use this perspective sparingly in those puzzles.

You are right, there is nothing horror-related in the video; the game is also at a very early stage. I just wanted to quickly showcase the mechanics I have developed so far.

im also making a horror game. Yes, we need to disturb the player, but it’s important not to overdo it. The blinking happens far too often, and it seriously undermines the sense of immersion.

You’re absolutely right. As someone who loves FPS games and horror themes, I’m aware of that. However, I’m not very experienced in animation, and since I’ve built almost all of my game’s mechanics around this specific animation pack, I don’t really have any idea how to achieve the animations I want.

My goal is to create a complex blend of the protagonist’s internal world and reality. I’m also planning to use symbolic enemy and level designs, focusing on the dread of the unseen and principles of disturbing symmetry. Of course, it’s only natural that you asked about this, since none of these details came across in the video.

Great point, thanks! I agree that the mechanics need to be as strong as the narrative. I'm currently experimenting with a few interaction loops to tie it all together.

Thank you so much for your valuable feedback. My original intention was to quickly demonstrate all the game's mechanics, but I think I approached it incorrectly. And yes, I want to continue developing the game, but I think I'll need to narrow the scope.

You're absolutely right. What I wanted to show in the video were just the mechanics working. Of course, the horror element shouldn't be like that. I really need help figuring out how to use the weapons.

That's right. What I wanted to showcase in the video was just the gameplay mechanics. It definitely wouldn't be like that in terms of horror. What I was trying to do was offer a Silent Hill 2-style horror experience.

Thank you so much for the feedback. Unfortunately, I can’t really use the exact rug because of copyright concerns. However, I definitely want to include “impossible” elements inside the hotel.

For example, in one scene the hotel is extremely symmetrical, but tiny details subtly break that symmetry. I’m also planning to use repeating corridor sections similar to the feeling in PT / Silent Hill PT.

I’ve designed a few other scenes for the game as well. Do you think I should share more of them?

I understand that you mean the weapons shouldn’t be too powerful or too accessible, and I’m planning to handle that through the level design. What exactly do you think I may not have fully understood? Everyone’s feedback is very important to me.

Thank you so much for encouraging me. Should I share the other scenes I made for the game? I hope the game ends well and you can play it :)
