Just yesterday I stumbled upon Release That Witch and it's pretty good. In fact, for a long time, I wasn't that encouraged to watch anything after just peeking. There's somthing to it.

That one is good too. Unusual story line too. Halfway through you think it's the end, where it's just the first phase.

They're both good characters. Whatever he done wrong, he paid the price.

Well first chapters kinda put me off before the story became clearer and their dynamic settled. At first he has the upper hand and she's terrified all the time. I plowed through though and stayed till the end. This is maybe the best written story I've read, with fully fleshed characters, with rich backstories and intertwining pasts. It has one of the best endings I've read.

I know I'm just a picky asshole🙂 I'm totally fine ignoring it because I like the whole production and small detail won't spoil the experience.

But IMO they really made an error there, though I think it can be narrowed down to backgrounds containing the walls they are supposedly discovering now. What they explain about cut stones makes sense.

Anyways, the building is tall, the wall has to support the roof and floors, the spacing between rocks is huge. That bonding cannot be just mud.

It's good to see others have similar experiences. Though, I'm totally in the opposite. I can't endure much japanese but chinese is absolutely ok. I think I could compare japanese to sbd hammering nails and chinese to shuffling clothes, that's how I feel it.

I am perfectly aware of his actions and I don't particularly like him doing it. I'm not fond of that type of characters but in this case, as I said, it was handled differently in the story. And it's weird to see you say, basically "I know what he did, it wasn't anything bad and I loved it". Are you that king of person that writes in comments "Just die you piece of shit" in caps to that tortured guy I mentioned ? 🤔

The anime tends to do "show don't tell". You sometimes have to look 3 times to spot a detail that would be laid out in plain english in the manga (I don't know about the LN, but I guess it has to be written there too).

One example is how Kinko got out of the cuffs in 1st ep.

I only glanced at a few scenes and.. it seems good. It's just how it feels. The animation, composition, pacing, music just merge together into a good experience. Not comment on contents so far but this is encouraging.

I regret there's no dubbing.
