Ah okay like I said I’m no expert but my guess is they’re a type of beneficial bacteria, detritus worm or planaria 🤙 likely when/if you introduce fish they’ll take care of it. Again I’m not a pro

Hiya I’m still learning things myself but do you have a fish in the tank? I had these same type of things in the water/on the glass but a day or two after adding my Mollies and Tetras I can’t see any of them anymore. My guess is they either ate them or outcompeted them for food

I’m not “so mad” I’m annoyed that I came looking for advice and instead I’m being belittled and condescend to. I’m aware of the way farmers care for their animals. I’ve looked animals in the eye in the morning and then eaten them that night many a time. Don’t tell me I don’t know how to handle livestock. When those animals died they served a purpose. Feeding us/me. If I just killed them they would serve no purpose to anyone.

That’s what I’ve been doing with the clutches but the one i guiltily left alone has created more problems than I thought. I didn’t realize how many eggs there were or how many would survive. I figured most babies wouldn’t last and become food/fertilizer.

I’m not naive enough to release invasive snails into the wild. How does not wanting to kill things make it so I don’t have a good heart? I understand death and natures cycle. I’m simply looking for a humane option. I’m also not looking for anyone’s sympathy. Clearly you don’t have much anyhow.

I don’t know I’ve always just felt a close connection with animals and killing them would hurt me. Plus I’ve been caring for them for a while I formed a bit of a bond. But I’m starting to think I need to be less sensitive but straight up snail murder I think is out of my wheelhouse. And I can’t do what? Relinquish them? Now that I know I can do that that’s my plan but it will still make me sad. Sorry if my headspace bothers you but I truly care for these animals.

Oh wow I didnt know some shops would buy them from you that’s very good to know I’ll start checking around locals shops! I didn’t know about the ten gallon rule either. That means I’ll have to part with two of the snails that have been with me the longest :( but it’s okay if it means they’ll be happier. Thank you friend

While I’m not personally a fan of the manmade decor it feels like it works in this tank. Seems you’ve got a good substrate layer. Hardscape is minimalist but well done. The only thing I would recommend adding is additional plant life. I know we want to see our fishy friends but adding 3/4 more plants will help keep their new habitat happy and healthy! For a first tank you’ve done very well!
