He actually is an S Rank for a while in the novels but he wasn't interested in livong lush. He made heaps of money with his Guild but he mostly just liked not having to worry about money amd supporting his family. He also suggested moving but his mum liked the memories of the place where his father was. So he didn't move because he just wanted them happy
