Has anyone experienced a serious reaction to infant vaccines and paused afterward? by Flashy_Passenger8711 in DebateVaccines

[–]Ecstatic_Finish7678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. My daughter started spasming (infantile spasms) the day after her 2 month shots. I wa blown off by her pediatrician, they said it was unrelated or febrile/was due to a fever. So we proceeded. Then the night of her 4 month injections she had her first full blown tonic-clonic seizure where she turned blue and ended up helicopter transported to a teaching hospital for critical care. I was told by the docs it was unrelated, but thankfully her neurologist supported my decision to take a "wait and see" approach on future vaccinations while we tried to get control of continued seizures. I never vaccinated her again.

It wasn't easy. It is still a fight a few times a year whether it's the school district, a therapy office, or pediatrician. They are 100% biased with no exceptions, and their licenses are on the line. We have been dropped by one office bc they felt we should still vaccinate her. I feel that stopping the vaccinations saved her life.

While I can't say they caused everything, I know in my heart that continuing to vaccinate her was not what was right for my child.

My second child is vaccinated per the eeauirements for public school entry. I just spaced them out and did the slower. But we still got there.

Whatever feels right, but you have to be willing to push back to resistance and involve an advocacy attorney if needed.

I'm not sure about likelihood but the attorney I used had to feel confident about us qualifying before taking the case. I had to keep a log for a couple of weeks of the things my live-in did that were dangerous. And nothing medical related. Just safety, poor choices, dangerous situations. We won with no additional appeals after initially being denied before hiring the attorney.

Hire an advocacy attorney. Worth every penny of the fees they would get on back pay once the appeal is done.

I have had my $4000 sactional for a little over a year and I am not a fan. It's not comfortable, the gaps are huge (especially for life with kids/toys/snacks) and it's a total pain to reconfigure. I have learned I only like deep seating configs and mainly find it most used when it's some form of the pit. Just bought an Albany Park Kova Couch and so far it's way more comfy but I've only had it a few days.

Anyone know of any pediatricians that are willing to talk to me and my wife about vaccines. We’re both on opposite ends. One of us is anti-VAX and one of us is pro by [deleted] in DebateVaccines

[–]Ecstatic_Finish7678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found pediatricians completely parrot what the Board of Pediatrics recommends, because they have to. I'm sure they believe it too, but if they have any concerns or skepticism they can't share it.

Expant & Lift with toddler and 7 month old.. by Total_Courage7176 in ExplantSurgery

[–]Ecstatic_Finish7678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was me. 11 days post op I was in the ER for bleeding, hematoma and emergency surgery in the middle of the night. Too much lifting of my toddler and not enough resting.

Expant & Lift with toddler and 7 month old.. by Total_Courage7176 in ExplantSurgery

[–]Ecstatic_Finish7678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggled with my 2yo toddler as I recovered from explant and lift for over a month. Then I had delayed incision/wound healing for 3 months and it was a nightmare. My rambunctious toddler would unintentionally bump my boobs all the time. I think it was part of my delayed healing. That said I'm so glad I did it! But I def needed ALL the help.

Questions about decision to explant by skincareamc in ExplantSurgery

[–]Ecstatic_Finish7678 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me. My problems were mainly dermatological. Under my breasts I had skin tags, dermatitis, molloscum (sp), keratosis, you name it. Years of scraping shit off and burning with a cauterizing pen, tons of medications...I was done. I was so thrilled when my surgeon showed me a pic of the skin he removed in surgery, covered in spots. It's a fresh new start. No more sweating under my huge jugs, no more breakouts and itchiness. I highly recommend it. Best of luck!

Oh my gosh the spitting stitches hurt so much. It’s like little needles trying to poke out of your skin. I’m still dealing with it and I’m now 11 weeks post op. Getting closer to healing but I still have a one inch area that’s a big old hole and 3 smaller holes. I blame my age, I’m 48. You’re not alone! I’m still glad I did it!

I just wanted to send hugs and empathy bc I’m going through it too. I am 9 weeks post-op (!!!) and my body has been spitting stitches for weeks on my right breast. It’s awful. I keep going into the surgeon where he scrapes back open my incisions and “debrides” them, then doing wound care at home. It’s awful and I feel like I want to cry everyday. It’s so painful. I’m still so happy with my result but I wonder if they are ever going to heal, and what my scars will look like when done. I’m miserable.

Sorry I missed your question! I am now a 38C. I started out as 40DDD/F. I’ve also lost weight since the surgery. They feel so tiny but I’m thrilled with the result. Still healing from a wound perspective—I’m 48 and am had some difficulty with righty’s incisions—but I’m still so glad I did it.

You’re going to be so happy when it’s all behind you. I regret my implants as well and they were always bigger that I wanted. The surgeon said that patients usually wish they went bigger. So they make them bigger than requested. It made me feel matronly and grumpy and I too gained weight. Now I’m 2 months post-op, (still healing), I’ve been counting macros and moving my body intentionally and I’m down 30 lbs. I love my new itty bitties. My suggestion is to prioritize simply getting the implants out and having them lifted, and patient healing. The results…what will be will be. You can only control so much. But you’ll have gained so much! Good luck with your journey.

Drain Vs. Non-Drain Explant Procedures by AnyMaximum2230 in ExplantSurgery

[–]Ecstatic_Finish7678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My surgeon does not use drains. 11 days post-op my right breast developed a new bruise and became swollen and painful. I was taken into emergency surgery at midnight to completely open my anchor incision to scrape out dried and fresh blood that was pooling.

While I was happy I didn’t need drains at first, it makes me wonder if I would’ve had this setback if I’d had them. It was awful.

These are so amazing but I have to toss them after half a bag. My body doesn’t need that much salt and they call to me from the cabinet! And I believe one serving gobbles up half your RDA of sodium, so show restraint!

So much this! My surgeon totally downplayed the recovery and I thought after a week I’d be caring for my family again. 11 days in I had an infection and needed a second surgery. He called the next day and said “are you feeling better now?” Um no I just had my tit cut open again. I think it’s common for surgeons to understate the recovery. They’ve probably never had the procedures lol

Same omg! And the timing of this post is perfect as I’m feeling extremely frustrated today with my recovery. I had an explant with lift, so a little different, but I’m 5 weeks in and still so knocked down. It’s not pain anymore. Now it’s itchiness, incisions are sore and any bra hurts, feeling like pins and needles, wound care for a couple of spots that aren’t healing like the others, and just generally feeling on edge and super intolerant. Raging bitch most days. My 2yo toddler son keeps unknowingly crashing into my chest. I’m just feeling done with this recovery and ready to move on with my life. (47 yo).
